I'm guessing its telling you that you aren't connected to your EVSE / Charger

You can of course charge it if needed (normally when on extended periods of non-use) - trickle charging. Consult the Owner's Manual.

There's no reason to charge it unless the car's software bugs have led to it becoming discharged. In that case you can jump it with a donor battery (typically chargers don't work for this because they can't detect sufficient voltage to enable charging). Any regular lead car battery will work for this.
