If it remembers the last settings, why would a loss of connectivity matter? If it remembers the last settings, it means that it’s storing them somewhere in the car, right?
Yes if the car remembers the last settings that is great if only you will be driving the car.

But if my wife was the last one to use it and lovks it with her key, it will not adjust bck to mysettings. We have completely different seat and mirror settings. Unfortunately my settings are not stored in my key. So I will have to adjust a lot of settings.

I think we have gone a bit off track here. I wonder if @tutis has been able to solve his charging problems. Is the car and the charger now communicating properly?

I think there is an interesting question about the shared charging network though. I have zeeo knowledge about how the EVSE communicate with the car and with other EVSE’s to see how much power it can deliver over time. It could set it to minimum or it could set it to max. The car would need to know if you set a target charge of say 85% at 07.00 in the morning. If it can not have the full power it was promised from the start it needs to reset the start time. Does this happen or will it just start to charge and achieve whatever it can in the morning. One might get the message that the set target charge can not be achieved??

I have been out of the country since the beginning of the week, due to come back later this week and will experiment based on suggestions here and report on my progress. Based on my finding I will also email Wallbox Co to report issues with Wallbox Pulsar Plus not playing nice with Taycan when load sharing is enabled.

I have a Wallbox Juicebox and it works great. Recently set my profile to 90% and it gives me 236 miles this AM when I got in the car. About 1/3rd into work had pretty good range remaining after only about 8-10 miles.

So I’ve been back from travelling and have managed to test a couple of times this weekend. I think I’ve figured it out but will continue to test. I’ve been effectively aiming for two things (1) charging during off peak hours, and (2) charging to a preset maximum soc of 85%.
Until now having both (1) and (2) has been challenging.
The installation engineer was back while I was away and not sure what he did. I’ve figured out that it works with following settings
(1) Wallbox set to off peak schedule
(2) Taycan timer set to end 5 minutes before the off peak schedule on the charger ends
(3) Taycan general profile turned OFF

when I come home before off peak time I immediately plug in. The car will attempt to charge and ultimately fail, with red error light in charge port and “charging not possible” message in car and Porsche app. Ignore the error. When the time is right the charger will start and the car will go green.

I need to play some more with this as when the car doesn’t need to charge continuously until the set departure time it will stop charging after about 30 minutes and the charger will report an error. Also ignore that error… all should work automatically and the car should have the target Soc in time set in the Porsche timer.

For some reason, my setting with general profile and not timer on min of 85% does not work and the car charges beyond 85% until I manually stop it

Can you post your settings? Are you using optimized charging or preferred times? It needs to be set to optimized if you want it to stop at the min.

I am not 100% on this stuff as I don’t have a car yet. But the “min” for the The general profile is the soc that the car must be below for the profile to take effect. Not the soc that the car will charge to. Right? May have to wait till morning for the regulars to comment.

The profile min is the value the car charges to immediately when plugged in.

That's incorrect.

Profiles are location based apart from the General profile and if enabled is always active.

General profile can be used in isolation without a Timer. Charging occurs within the parameters set and will charge up to and including the set target charge assuming the state of charge (SOC) is less.

It is doing what you are telling it. But it is confusing. Try this video.

I think you need a timer to control max charge.

You can charge to a set amount using just a profile if it’s set to optimized. Many people, myself included, change this way.
