I tried the 12v battery disconnect solution and it still didn’t fix my issue. I guess I’ll just wait for Porsche to get back to me.
That option should have "hard rebooted" your Taycan's software. Problem may be Porsche back-end or your car's hardware.
If you are dealing with PCNA, I found that waiting for them to get back to me was not effective. I had to keep calling and asking the reps to request updates. PCNA proactive call-backs did not happen.
Good luck.

So with great anticipation my new Taycan finally arrived a couple of weeks ago only to find that I couldnt login and that the car is in privacy mode. Cut a long story short only had the car a few days and it has been back with the dealer ever since as it need a new module. Just a bit staggered that on a 95 grand car this want tested either by Porsche in Germany or by the dealer in the UK who had the car and carried out pre delivery inspections prior to delivery. They have lent me a petrol car, which I have now had longer than my car. To be honest I wouldn't expect this from any new car let alone something as prestige as a Porsche and the overall experience so far isnt great
Bought a 2025 Porsche Taycan on October 3rd. It's been in the shop since October 4th, it will not connect to the PCM. 2 control modules were finally received from Germany, installed today, and it still did not fix the problem. Still blinking red SOS, only 4G and no LTE symbol, and My Porsche app shows no remote access. What is the fix for this?

If SOS light at mirror is blinking red, the predelivery inspection (PDI) and vehicle registration and pairing process that dealer performs has not been completed.
Do not drive the car off the dealer lot/accept delivery until the SOS light is solid green and you can access the car remotely with your PorscheID from your phone.

Here is link to Porsche TSB of instructions for dealer to properly activate the communications functions prior to delivery: Connect Registration and Pairing PDI Tips – Resolve Blinking Red SOS Light

Note that things have changed for 2025 models. It appears that LTE symbol only applies to pre-2025 Taycans. 4G symbol seems to have replaced the LTE symbol on 25 models. But from other 2025 owners in here, even if 4G is displayed on PCM, it does not necessarily mean that cellular datacom between vehicle and Porsche servers is working.

Ensure that this is resolved before you drive the car home. Good luck.

If they try it 3 times and can't fix it, most states have lemon laws which would essentially mean the fix is ordering a new car. Maybe inquire about it, so maybe PCNA will send an expert down instead of buying back the car.

I once almost lemoned a Lexus this way due malfunctioning Bluetooth. They replaced a bunch of components, including the whole infotainment, but problem persisted. On the third visit dealer knew it was their last chance (though they didn't tell me about it until all was fixed), so they gave me an identical loaner and kept mine for over a week and summoned an engineer from Japan to fix it. It turned out to be a bent pin in one of the harnesses.

Thank you! Hoping it doesn't come to that.

I had no LTE for about 3-4 weeks, showing the =/= or whatever icon ... then a week or 2 ago I walked into my garage to get to work, noticed the passenger-side window completely down ... started the car and suddenly LTE was back. Has been fine since.

The car has been doing strange things while sitting in the car with engine off (working on my laptop, waiting between appointments):
* the lumbar-support deflated while sitting in the seat LOL (once)
* logging out/in my porsche account (often)
* goes back a couple songs that I play from a USB-drive (often)
* drivers window dropped a little and then closed again (once)

I also had an issue where my (old) Xiaomi phone would (often) drop its wireless connection for android auto ... I recently got a new Samsung phone that one keeps a steady connection at all time ... and the strange thing is, the car stopped logging in/out my porsche account while sitting in the car etc, it was as if the bluetooth/wifi connection of the Xiaomi phone made the PCM go crazy.

Was it cold outside? Perhaps Porsche copied a Tesla feature - the car will do that while parked (even when OFF) to keep the glass from freezing to the gasket, since it's an open frame window.

Unprompted windows completely down while OFF and other weird behaviors you described would concern me. At the very least wide open window while parked in bad weather would be a problem. This could also mean their software is being hacked. :( Of course it could also be a sign of poor software implementation and testing, which is not out of character for Porsche, but would be worse than Gen 1 Taycan (I haven't heard of such unprompted behaviors while car is parked - the worse I've seen on my Taycan was the car unlocking itself immediately after locking, and I heard of alarm going off at night for no reason, though that was on earlier models).

I have had sporadic issues with comms. It was out for over a month recently (scheduled for service in Dec so I was just waiting)… today the PCM screen wouldn’t respond to touch screen, then a few restarts later it all works again….

Hopefully they can still find a fault when I go in in December… but I think the issue isn’t consistent or easy to reproduce which makes it hard to resolve.

The window being fully open only happened once, at the same time the LTE issue got fixed.
I keep my car unlocked when its in the (in-house) garage, it never gets that cold there either.
Privacy is set to ON.

Car used to re-login into my porsche account several times for no reason while sitting in it, engine off, USB music playing, when it finished logging in it would play a different song. Like 3 times in 30 minutes.

Since I have a new phone (2 weeks ago) that also can maintain a steady wireless connection to android auto for hours, it hasnt done any of those things. Super weird :)

I've got the same issue on my 2025. I see 4G in the upper right of the PCM. If I go to Settings / Connections / Data Connection Status (or something like that) it typically says 2-3 bars of Verizon. Cannot log in to MyPorsche account from the car, no Weather app or any other indication of connectivity. Porsche Connect support (PCNA) walked me through all the troubleshooting, told me that the issue has been escalated to Germany and they're making progress on it (?).

I suspect it's some kind of backend problem, because while I was still logged in (before the support rep had me try logging out ) the car was connecting to my home WiFi but the app still wasn't updating my position, SOC etc.

Estimate they'll know more early this week. I'll let you know what they tell me.
Alright. I ended up taking my CT into the dealer on the advice of PCNA. They gave the dealer a 7-step process to follow (check for recalls / software updates / faults (none), etc.). The thing that allowed them to log me back into the car was a hard-reset of the PCM.

That was great, but the problem that originally led me down this rabbit hole was the car not connecting to the app. That persisted for a few days after I left the dealer (car location didn't update) but finally seems to have resolved itself this morning. The latest data is now displayed in the app, and I can even remotely lock / unlock the doors!

Now I just have to hope it stays fixed.

Is a hard-reset of the PCM the same as the 12v battery disconnect? Or something different?

I'm bringing my car into the dealership on Monday. I still can't log in and now I've been getting an "Error: Charging currently not possible" after a while, which prevents the car from charging to the limit.

Not 100% sure what the dealer meant, but I think it's just the "tap and hold in the upper-right corner of the PCM until it restarts" dance.
