I find this practice by Porsche to be very concerning. Whether on purpose or by accident, it is not acceptable to change dates that have passed on actions that have been completed.

My ‘order created’ date changed several times after it was confirmed/completed. My suspicion is that the newer (and later dates) were used to determine priority for production. Which made my car even later…which got it caught up in their battery issue.
I'm sure that in the dealer's system, it'll show the original date. TYD is definitely glitchy...I'd be shocked if the order created date determines production priority. Porsche is constantly analyzing production queue.

I haven’t seen anything from Porsche that would cause me to give them the benefit of the doubt. If anything, they have taken several decisions that would support a healthy amount of skepticism.

Anyone have a link to the sailing schedule for ships bound to east coast ports like Baltimore, MD?

I did notice something confusing. Not only future dates are moving, but also past dates. My freeze point was reached and then defrosted while moving forward a few of times
The same happened to me as well. I figured it was batched updates when the TYD system gets reconciled with actual production-line data. (eoSpeculation)

Or, in order to make as many deliveries as possible before the end of the year, they will prioritize EU production since the delivery is quicker so more likely to happen and push all North American production to January.
OTOH with a strong USD it'd make sense to drive up the revenue (reported in EUR), and so prioritize US deliveries.

That would be the case (for date revisions to be unacceptable) iff TYD is in any way binding. It is not, and I suspect it's just regularly being reconciled with the actual production data. Unless, of course, you meant "not acceptable" in the "dissatisfaction" sense..

My order seems to be moving along with minimal deviations.
Frozen 9/21
Scheduled for prod 10/05
Start production 10/24 (planned 10/21)
Prod complete ETA 11/04
Arrival Emden ETA 11/11
Entry Port of Houston ETA 12/02 <-- up to here ETAs appear unchanged
En route to dealer ETA 12/09 <-- this was 12/02 previously, was disentangled today when production start was confirmed.

Based on the East coast schedule shared by folks above, the last November boat sails from Emden on 11/08, so that means the TYD schedule remains inaccurate.

I think it was ~10 days before my 8/16 delivery date that TYD shifted on me to 11/4. Then a few weeks later to 11/25 and now to 12/9. This is a 7/21 production date MY22 GTS ST to Chicago.

I agree that TYD is shattering dreams out here

Good point, however car in transit does not count as either a deliverable or revenue. It counts as manufactured, but that number investors pay less attention to. Also, USD might be even stronger next year, but if they wanted to lock in their profits today, they could just borrow USD today, sell them for Euros, then pay off the debt in USD when they sell the cars (revenue will count next year, but locked high USD price).

I see what you did there...

The point I was going after is that sending all the Taycans (or any other Porsche they kept around the port in Germany) to the US will speed up that USD revenue - wait-weary customers would love to take delivery, and thus PCNA can report a strong closing quarter, to make up for the dip in the 3rd. That is, there would be an incentive to prioritize US-bound vehicles. No objections to/qualms with your other observations around engineering profits based on currency rates.

I see the disconnect. I was talking about production prioritization, while you are talking about sending already built US spec cars, which could not be sold in Europe anyways (even if there were not pre-sold to customers). No argument there, but also no issue with priorities, unless they could use the same ships to send other cargo instead.

Siem Aristotle is in Emden - My Taycan is on it - due in Jacksonville 12/2/22n
Does your TYD show "on vessel" today? Also, was your car shown as waiting in Emden previously?

I'm just wondering how fast it all happens. TYD has always shown transport to Emdem and on vessel as the same date for me, up until recently. Same with others. So I'm wondering if they are able to ship and load it on a boat all in a single day.
