Did you know your Taycan has a compass and altimeter?

What's a map & compass? Things old people use? Just follow turn by turn directions from the nav.

I like it for the cool retro factor and elevation read as you go down a twisty mountain road like Blue Ridge Parkway or when we visit friends at a mile high country club near Blue Ridge Parkway.

Discovered this while trying to get the PCM out of a hypnotic glitch (which is happening way too often lately). I've had the car nearly 2 years and never saw it before. I thought I had tried all the cool dashboard options, so maybe this is from some OTA update? Curious to hear from others, but don't ask me how I found it because the system offers it to me inconsistently.

Aware that the data could be displayed in the Information list on the right hand tube but never had the display appear.

Possibly an unplanned software release got through to a few cars.

To customize that tube go to Settings/Displays/instrument cluster/Customized view. From there you can make different choices and see the impact in real time. it’s a very efficient way of dialing in exactly what you want to see

My wife likes to see the elevation and compass on her passenger display. My sport chrono was also optioned with a compass which automatically shows elevation.

I re found it!

Change the right hand tube display to Navigation (even if not using NAV). Once displayed press the right thumb wheel on the steering wheel and select Compass.
