disable frunk button on key fob

i find that i frequently trigger teh frunk key on my key fob - i think bc i have it in the same pocket as other items like airpods. happens fairly frequently - i go to back out of a spot and the screen goes red warning me the frunk is open.

i can’t think of any reason i need to open it with the keyfob - can it be disabled somehow?

Nope. You can double tap the lock button on the fob or door handle to disable comfort mode which won't really do what you want.

Put your key in a pouch or different pocket.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, it's an absolute nightmare.

If you long-press both lock and unlock buttons on the key fob it disables the fob until you press the unlock button. That will do what you want (disables all buttons), but it's obviously not ideal.

I had the same issue with the boot opening.

I managed to find the setting in PIWIS (Link #1, Link #2) to increase the timeout for boot opening. Now, if I accidentally press the boot open button, it doesn’t open immediately.

The button needs to be held for about 600ms before the boot opens.

Need a similar setting for the frunk. I haven’t been able to locate the setting for frunk opening delay in PIWIS.

Not exactly the software fix you want, but a solution that works for me. I bought the case below through Amazon and the thin plastic adds just enough tension that I never have a problem with accidental button presses. The bottom plastic is a bit thicker (the case is a two-piece clamshell) so no worries about accidentally hitting the panic alarm either.

We don't have a red button here in the UK. We have the unlock, lock, boot and frunk. There is the Porsche logo, but that's it.
