I had it done at my Porsche service center so it just showed up as a service visit.
Which dealership? Was yours a warranty fix or a collision/road damage claim?

Had a similar chip that then moved to a big crack after about a week. I also had mine replaced through my Seattle area Porsche Dealership. They farmed the installation out to a Porsche Certified Body Shop and did the calibration at the Dealership. Dealership provided a loaner. Mine was covered by my comprehensive insurance, less deductible. No Carfax report. Over $13k a couple of years ago!

Very sorry to hear of your panoramic roof issue. Makes me glad that I have the aluminum solid roof option.
I bought my 2021 CPO and it had the panoramic roof. I wish it had the solid metal roof though. It is ridiculous that they can’t figure out how to replace a piece of glass reliably. I will never buy a glass roof Porsche ever again. It’s just flat out bad engineering. Shame on German craftsmanship…
It does make me question Porsche’s engineering and repair procedures when something as simple as a rock chip can make your car a nightmare from that point forward.
I have a roof shade to block the harsh sun which I can take out of if I want to bake but just leave it in. If I get a crack in my roof I’ll use the crack kit or call Safelite to repair the crack and then I’ll have just the panoramic roof “wrapped” in gloss black vinyl so I’ll never see the crack again.
I would love to have Taycan owners in the US post the insurance companies who don’t or won’t fully cover a cracked panoramic roof glass. Then at least the rest of us would be able to avoid these insurance companies collecting big premiums every month but then not cover such a significant repair.

My glass roof cracked AGAIN today. Car was parked, just went all of its own accord.

This is only a small part of it under the roof rail. It’s a ‘Y’ shape with each arm being around 8” long!
Oh and this is a VLC roof too!
Replacement process last time round was ok to be fair, all done under warranty.
