Seems like one of the nicer EVSE on the market, has some security issues.

The company have just announced some massive layoffs as well. Not only because of the stop sales ban but also commercial reasons. The had planned to sell 900k units last year but only achieved 350k.

There is a question mark around their ground protection
CE marking and
Incorrect IP rating.

I have had mine for over two years and it has been faultless.

It’s a shame to read it may carry these issues and that sales haven’t gone so well.

I witnessed the installer test the earth fault relay on my unit as part of the installation as it’s a mandatory test for the grant application.

All I can say is my experience with the unit has been great.

Way too many EVSE manufactures out there for all to survive. You'd expect some more acquisitions and consolidation – but that doesn't appear to be happening yet (except maybe for Andersen in UK).

And despite many having pretty advanced features – to try and differentiate themselves – most users treat them – with good reasons – as just glorified sockets.

I’m very skeptical of what Swedish authorities have cooked up here. If we put aside the fact that Easee’s main competitors are Swedish companies (who’s stock prices have gone through the roof after this debacle) the case made for stopping Easee sales is pretty thin. Easee has sold more than 700 000 charges and there are zero reports of issues with the onboard electromechanical ground fault circuit breaker. Furthermore, if your electrician is anywhere near qualified for the job they would install a dedicated type A or B ground fault circuit breaker for the charger anyway.

this smells like a big disastrous nothingburger imo. Sucks for Easee as a company.
