I purchased my 23 Taycan new. My dealer classified the car as a CPO (2nd owner) with 44 miles on it, and gave me the additional two-year warranty (6 years) as a "discount" on the purchase.

I don't entirely understand it. The downside is the VIN info classifies me as the 2nd owner., which I suspect devalues the car.
Once a car is issued a first title, it is considered used thereafter, regardless of the mileage.

Thanks
Still don’t get it
Why issue a title on a new car

it wasn’t a loaner or an executive car
I saw it come off the trailer

a week later I owned it, but as a titled CPO….?

I spoke to another dealer and he didn’t get it either

I ended up extending the factory warranty from 4 years to 6 years (via a CPO option; bought the car new). The cost was $4050 (!0% PCA discount was applied)
Hey friend, I'm facing a same option provided by the dealer. He hasn't got back to me on the quote though. $4k for 2 years CPO sounds... expensive. Or no? How do others feel as in how much is reasonable for a 5th & 6th year CPO?

hmmm if you are the 2nd owner but this is a new car purchase, who's listed as the first owner?

I was having a hard time pinning down prices so I am not sure...that having been said, ONE repair to this car could cost 4K...so I rolled the dice for peace of mind!..getting the 10% PCA discount helped make up my mind.
