That's helpful - thanks! Especially since I have a chance to finalise (yet another) build tomorrow. The ongoing question: GTS with PAR or 4S with PAR…
Had the J1.1 4 CT, test drove the J1.2 4S CT, went for a GTS ST w/ PAR and now want the Turbo. So addictive....

According to whom? How was it tested?

According to the PhD scientist working with ZF on it, it reduces motion sickness. You can see some of the testing equipment in the video. What is your source?

This gets repeated here over and over with zero basis in reality.
Source - common sense as the car is forced to do something your brain ain't expecting.

Okay, so BS, got it :)
I'll go with the science!
Clearly Magic/Active Body Control on the Mercedes S class is also nauseating then! They don't know anything about making well riding cars!

If it's just the power you want, then we can fix that ;)

So far, I've found PAR to be pretty amazing. I'm a bit befuddled why anyone who drives wouldnt want this. Seems like this is why you buy a porsche vs something else. I guess it does make some noise and you can hear it when outside the car if comfort entry is active..?

Autocrossing the car Saturday for the first time. Really looking forward to how it handles. Rear Wheel Steering is amazing, makes a large car feel much smaller. Combined with PAR I expect to have some serious fun among the cones.

And if MapEV ever gets easier to install/remove in the CT I'll probably never be able to wipe the grin off my face.

Once I learned about it and tried it out, I couldn't understand spending that much on a car and not have it. That greatly reduced my purchase options so I jumped as soon as a found a car within my price range with PAR and the other major options I wanted (which was about 3 or 4 months before I thought I would be buying).

It does make some different noises... but I keep the entry function off, so that's not one of them (it's easier for me to get in without it... I guess I'm just short).

PAR is a rare option, for right now on Porschefinder having it, there are only two new Taycan GTS Sports Turismo’s in the country and just six Cross Turismos.

My own experience with PAR:
Last week I was on a Taycan track-experience day in Leipzig, taking different Taycans around their race-track.
GTS, 4S and Turbo were the iterations.
First I had the GTS. Here it proved, that the GTS setup is indeed the best for ambitious driving.
It gave good confidence and a good feeling for balance.
The Turbo had PAR.
Compared to the GTS it gave me no more confidence, actually it made me slowly feel sick after 4 rounds.
2 more rounds and I'd probably would have made use of the little plastic bags in the door pouch.
Apart from the comfort, PAR provides in everyday driving, I wouldn't order it on a J1.2.

Which mode? I have zero nausea issues with it. Unless I turn on the "lean into corners" logic which feels wrong.

I had the GTS in Sport Plus, the Turbo in Normal and Sport, missed out on the Sport Plus. Didn't have the time to go deeper i to the settings. Does PAR have an extended menu, apart from on/off?

PAR is always on. There is a deeper menu that allows for that additional ability to negate Lean. Thats what makes people feel the difference

Yes there is an extended menu where you can set if the car should lean into corners in normal.
THAT feature can cause nausea because the car does completely opposite of what you expect it to do, and I think that's also what your problem was.
You should just turn that off.

I think PAR also operates differently in Normal vs. Sport/Sport Plus. I believe those comfort settings are turned off.

This is Google AI:
  • Normal Mode (Active Ride Focus): The system prioritizes comfort and can mitigate pitch/dive. Some versions allow the car to "lean" into corners (similar to a motorcycle) for passenger comfort.
  • Sport Plus Mode (Active Ride Focus):
    • Total Flatness: The system removes all, or nearly all, body roll, pitch, and dive, keeping the chassis perfectly level during aggressive driving.
    • Stiffer Damper Rates: The active shock absorbers are optimized for maximum performance.
    • Lowered Ride Height: The suspension automatically lowers to reduce the center of gravity.
    • Maximum Control: The system manages wheel loads individually for improved grip during sharp cornering.

Also this for the options... it says those options are on only in Normal, unless you override it and save it to Sport and Sport Plus (this is how I have Sport set up, which is what I run mostly... it has a Normal Chassis setting to get those comfort features plus I have it on low for how it looks):
