Has anyone checked their speedo for accuracy?

Today, I passed two radar posted signs to slow speeders and my indicated speed was a few miles faster than the radar sign displayed. I guess if its going to be off, better to show faster then actual, may save me a ticket.

I've just installed my radar, and it has GPS so it shows your speed. I'll update tomorrow if someone hasn't already.

almost all car report speed 1 or 2 mph higher than the actual speed.
my 4s is usually 2 mph over. this has probably been discussed, does the speedo error also impact the odometer?

Mine was 2-3 mph @ around 40 mph, which is 5% or so. Back then Acura gave us an extended warranty because there was a class action lawsuit claiming that it racked up the miles quicker than it’s supposed to and so your warranty ran out before it should. Oh well.

what was the rate of mileage overage? 2% that could become a problem on leased vehicles that have low mileage allowances

TBH, I don’t know since I never leased one before but yeah I can that being an issue. I can our battery range is potentially being overstated by the same percentage the speedo is off.

Every Porsche I've ever had seems to indicate 2-3 above radar speed.

Finally pulled the 911 out to stretch its legs and relieve my cravings for exhaust notes, the speedo on it matches my radar exactly with a rare exception where it’s a mph slower.
