Hi All,
I finally managed to get a slot for a 4s and my lock-in date is looming closer (3/9) and hoping for a Nov/Dec delivery
The forum has been helpful but since i joined but I have gone from a standard RWD sub 90K to a 4s trying to stay around the 100k mark
The purchase is via a business so as to benefit from corp tax etc,
This will be my 1st porsche and first EV, (the dream was to one day own a 911, but hey you never know)

Kindly peruse below and let me know if i have missed anything and ideally what I can loose as I am i bit over budget!
here we go...
Porsce code is PNYHFNY2
thank you all in advance

Taycan 4s MY22
Options Specced

Colour - Volcano Grey or Metallic White or jet black this is one of the hardest choices i've had to make in a while!
Wheels - 20'" Turbo Aero
Interior- Black/Bordeux (love the red interior)
Bordeaux Seat belts-
14-Way comfort seats
Porsche Crest on headrests (front)- hmm seems like it has to be done
Door Sill Guards brushed Aluminium in Black- best free option IMO
Ext folding mirrors- (seems a neccesity)
Side window trims black gloss - (consensus of the form is the car looks better with)
‘PORSCHE’ logo LED door courtesy lights- looks kinda cool
Sports sound-
Performance battery plus-
Sport Chrono- its a porsche!
RAS inc PSP- (forum says the drive is way better)
Auto dimming ext and int mirrors- (not sure i need this!)
Pano Roof- (torn with this, like the look without it, but resale and brightening up interior makes me add thsi!)
privacy Glass- another option i might loose
ParkAssist including Surround View- seems like the Taycan needs this
Adaptive Cruise Control- added this so i could add innodrive later on
4+1 seats-
Ambient Lighting
Heated Stearing wheel
Storage Package
Smoker package (for the cool porsche ashtry thing)
Bose surround- not an audiophile but the forum swayed me.
Electric charging cover
22KW charging - have 3 phase so made sense
150kW DC booster

Options i would have liked...
Black model designation
LED Matrix
Rear light strip with 'PORSCHE' logo in black

Cheers

Hi,

Not a lot to alter but consider:

  1. Drop ACC - do you drive a lot in traffic, if not then not a lot of point to have it if budget is tight? Innodrive - why?
  2. Porsche logo courtesy lights - drop as you have puddle lights in the door mirrors and are activated automatically with the Parking Assist
  3. 4+1 seats - unless you need 2+1 rear seats not a lot of point
  4. 22kW charger - Good you have 3 phase at home but unless you get the PMCC you won't be able to charge at 22kW. Std PMC+ supplied with the car is only good for 9.6kW which is perfect for overnight home charging. Try and skip it to get your Matrix lights (these are a winner!)
  5. Ambient lighting - nice to have
  6. Sports Chrono - carbuncle on the dash, I'd skip again if budget is tight as you aren't missing out on Launch Control etc as this is standard. Using the wheel mounted on the steering wheel is fiddly IMHO.
  7. Add public charging cable - for untethered AC units when in the sticks.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it.
1- yes daily commute is in traffic hence ACC, assuming innodrive will eventually be tesla-esque
2-noted and dropped
3-unfortunately 4+1 is a req,
4-re 22kw charger- didnt realises PMCC was needed for that i was under impression that as long as i had 3 phase and a wall chage that supported 22kw i was good.
5- thought so too
6- hmmm agree but its my 1st porsche.....
7.good idea

thanks for the heads up re Matrix lights, back to the confing ....

Keep the ACC, it's great when going longer distance and keeps the option for Innodrive open, 3 month trial via FOD. Now if only Innodrive would learn from our driving style and adapt to it, for more spirited slowing down for roundabouts and sharp corners

The dial on the steering wheel is easier to switch modes than the PCM menu fiddling.

Great that we can have different opinions, just to make your life easier ;)

Any 22kW EVSE charge point will work if you have one or another in mind so not dependent on PMCC ( just if you're sticking with the brand).

IMO the sport sound is not worth it. I have red interior and love it!

Thanks ,
Re the red interior it’s way out for me but every time I’ve seen in on a Porsche I’ve gone wow!
did you get the red belts?
Also what's your exterior colour?

Original home of the DMC12 (or have we had this discussion before?) and hence explains your avatar.
Indeed! We have not had this discussion before. My father met JZD and he owned 2 home in the neighborhood where I grew up. Big fan of JZD and the car. I have tons of old photos of the family and factory and related. Lifelong enthusiast and guru of everything the man and DMC.
