here is actual data from the entire ownership period for a 600 HP V8 SUV that can do 0-60 in 3.2 seconds…I'd suggest 32 mpg average consumption for that type of high performance thirsty V8 engine is better than expected
for daily errands they are pretty good - my "record" is 1600 miles between fill ups - since you can charge it at home - if all you're doing is daily errands I can sometimes go weeks with out the ICE motor starting or only running briefly - this deeply extends the longevity of a single tank of gas - I routinely go at least 6-7 weeks between gas station visits - which means less than 12 visits a year to "fill up" with charging at home.
I own a 2021 Cayenne TurboS eHybrid - it does pretty well with total miles in 40k being about 19k EV miles, and the rest w/ICE motor runinng - daily tasks are handled normally with all EV miles, and the car is masterful at haversting energy from normal activities such that it can shut down the ICE motor…at slow speeds and stop/go the ICE motor is not running a lot of the time…Anyone here have any MHEV/PHEV hybrid range experience?
Currently on a road trip in the US, in a Grand Cherokee Plug in. Most of the hire SUVs here seem to be PHEVs. Although it had zero charge when picked up, in the first 150 miles, the Dashboard alleges that 43 of the first 150 miles were on Hybrid, from Braking and Coasting Regen. Those miles were at slow non interstate speeds, in the Yellowstone & Tetons parks, and without the savage max regeneration turned on.
That proportion of electric miles seems unbelievable. Anyone have any Panamera or Cayenne hybrid range experience?
