Ice Grey vs Dolomite Silver

The lock-in date on my Turbo S is fast approaching and the only decision left is to finally decide on the colour.

I currently have a MY2021 Volcano Grey and every time I see it in a showroom I marvel at, but take it out in the British weather for 5 seconds and it looks like it's been trampled on by the local rugby team. My belief is that the same may apply to Ice Grey. I've seen it twice, the second time a few hours ago during a dreary day, and even having water droplets on it completely changed the way it looks. I feel during perfect weather it will look spectacular, but during the other 364 days of the English year Dolomite Silver will be the better option - it seems to look great during sun and good otherwise. For those of us meteorologically challenged with either of these colours, what are your thoughts?

Well I have Ice Grey and have not noticed what you describe - but to be totally honest I wash my car quite often. When it is dirty its not too bad but I have not just left it for weeks on end collecting dirt.

I realise my response does not help and I would have gone for the Dolomite Silver but found the "blue hue" too much for me. Its a nice colour, though I wish there was a GT Silver option on the Taycan. Its personal choice in the end I guess.

Dolomite I think is better for all seasons. Not a fan of Ice Grey and certainly wouldn't pay the premium for what is generally a shade of white. If GT Silver were in its place I'd pay for that instead.

Volcano is a marvel when clean and in fine weather - I'm tempted for the 3rd time on my CT for next year but also tempted to pay for Brewster Green from the PPS range (saw it on a 911 Targa and is a classic colour to my eyes).

I have found that silver colors tend to hold their look the best out of most paint choices when they get dirty from rain, etc. We have had three silver cars.

Currently have a Dolomite 4S and it also does very well when not at it’s cleanest.

P.S. After owning a couple of silver cars we were looking for something different, but when I saw the Dolomite in person I was instantly sold and had to have that color. Personal taste on the blue hue of course, but I think it looks spectacular (especially if you option the blue led color headlights)

I chose the Dolomite Silver and couldnt be happier. As stated when clean it is spectacular and even when dirty still looks great.

Had my Jaguar F Type in carpathian grey which is similar to the volcano grey....beautiful when clean ! I have the ice grey and have found it still looks good when dirty/raindrop marks. Not a fan of light colours generally but ice grey swung it for me

I've got Ice Grey and slthough I love the colour, I am finding it more difficult to keep looking good now it's winter.

I may have had it easy on some of my more recent cars (all blues) but the Ice Grey is definitely needing a lot more cleaning now the roads are wet and dirty.
..... which luckily I don't mind doing.

You really won’t be disappointed ! It’s really gorgeous both when its cloudy and sunny. It really isn’t as blue-ish as some say. With the proper wax you can gain significantly in color depth too even if it’s awesome as is.

I have a Dolomite Silver 4S and have always felt it was carrying too much of a blue tinge - new Turbo on order and overdue for delivery is in Crayon rather than risk this “which silver” dilemma! ?‍
