I love using Innodrive, I regularly drive into London where speed limits change and there is lots of stop start traffic. I aslo love the auto steer on the motorway, takes the stress out of driving. I discovered last week if you come to a standstill and are waiting for a while, when the traffic starts up again the car does not move forward, I used to press the gas pedal to get the car moving, but discovered that if you push the cruise control stick up (Resume) it moves the car forward. If you are only parked for a few seconds though the auto moves forward when the traffic moves.

It depends on the country.
In the Netherlands I wouldn’t recommend it over ALK. It consistently gets the speed limit wrong (we have a time depended speed limit). In city traffic it can not get a 90* turn done right. Slows down well enough for it I guess.
I have it “on” but just use it on the highways without the automatic speed adaptations.

I would ask your Porsche dealer for a trial, or a test run in a Taycan that has it enabled :)

I have it in my car and I absolutely love it! I know it’s not for everyone—many people don’t find it useful or think it makes no sense. But for me, since I commute daily on the highway, I use it all the time. It’s especially helpful in stop-and-go traffic.
Of course, that’s just my personal opinion.
Innodrive doesn't do this. Active Cruise Control does this.

Innodrive does annoying speed changes and is, IMO, worthless.

That's a design choice for safety (or may be regulated in some countries), I think to mitigate the risk that your attention has wandered and a pedestrian gets in between the cars. I glance to see whether the little indicator has gone off and just blip the accelerator or as you say use the stalk.

In the Netherlands [...] It consistently gets the speed limit wrong (we have a time depended speed limit).
Yes - that is a real pain, specific to NL. (The speed limit is a pain too, but not much we can do about that!). Have you tried pressuring Porsche NL to get the data corrected? It should be capable of time-based speed limits -- in France it seems to do ok (not perfectly) with rain-based speed limits.

I agree with this: Innodrive without ALK doesn't make sense IMO.
I really like the Innodrive but I removed the option to automatically change the speed as it sometimes reads incorrectly the panels.
Crossing France, it's always on and works perfectly for me. I would buy it again.
But if you don't have ALK, I think this is more important to have on a long journey

To be honest, that didn’t occur to me because in this car it’s (almost) a waste to keep to the speed limit.
Nevertheless it’s something that should work and I’ll raise the issue next time I’m at the dealer. Even though it will probably get me a shrug and a coffee ;)
