Ionity - Plug and Charge

How successful have people been with Ionity Plug and Charge ? I tried it today at Perth having activated it in the PCM. I plugged in the charger and it authorised correctly but then never moved to the charging phase. The charger said Plug and Charge Authorised. The car had a spinner on the PCM and then after a minute or so the red light flashed on the charging port. I was in a bit of a hurry so I just scanned the QR code on the second attenpt and it started charging.

It was a bit of a hit or miss for me last Christmas when we did our first longer trip with a loaner Taycan (maybe it was an issue with the loaner, I can't say).

One charger seemed to outright not have P&C enabled whatsoever and other times we often had to physically hold the charger and gently push it upwards during the authentication step to actually get it to successfully charge.

So, I tried another charging unit at Perth on the trip back home today and it worked fine. At least I know it's working now and maybe just a glitch with that attempt.

never works for me, I always use the black RFID card. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or is it not enabled on turbo my2020? I activated P&C under the "charging" app (haven't moved to "myporsche" yet) as per photo but makes no difference..
