iPhone 14 pro Mac wireless charging

Hi - Has anyone else had trouble using the Taycan’s wireless charger for their Apple iPhone 14 pro max?

Other phones wirelessly charge in the car fine but for whatever reason neither of the two iPhone 14 pro max in our family will charge at all

anyone had success / similar experiences?

I find it to be more of a wireless phone heater than a charger. Presumably with your max the charging circuit doesn’t line up properly with the one in the car. I would just use a wire

100%. So disappointed Porsche would install such a poorly designed feature. Almost as bad as the cup holder placement on the 992 manual.

Just heats up my iPhone 14 pro as well. I also tried it without the case but no luck. Very disappointed as well ?

I've always had the impression that the camera bump on the iPhone 14 Pro (and 13 previously) is now so pronounced that it interferes with wireless charging unless you get the phone positioned exactly right.

With the Taycan, any hard acceleration and the phone will move anyways – upsetting the charging process – and potentially making it more inefficient – hence the heat.

On our Fiat 500 EV the wireless charging pad is horizontal and built into the dash – where it seems to work very well in comparison.
