Hey everyone.
I recently purchased a Taycan RWD in Dubai and I notice a jerk at exactly 80kmph which feels like an awkward gear shift in Normal mode. I have sent the car in to the service center for inspection and was curious if anyone else experienced this? I didn’t feel this while test driving the car and have read other threads where this happens in sport / sport plus mode to mimic a downshift.

The Taycan has a 2 speed drivetrain and it sounds like you are feeling the gear shift. Has the car had all the latest firmware updates?

Negative, no gear shift in normal mode. (Or range, for that matter)
(But yes, it's normally at ~80km/h this happens. 80 up, 50 down)

Thanks for your response.
I received the car from the Porsche dealer in Abu Dhabi on June 10 2021 so I’m assuming it has the latest firmware however I have sent it in to the service Center as it’s not acceptable and doesn’t seem to be a common concern.

I have noticed a semi violent hitch sometimes at medium speeds when accelerating. I'm not sure what causes it as it is rare, but it is definitely enough to make me and my passenger's bodies flinch forward.

I try to drive with auto regen on but as I have to turn it on every drive, sometimes I forget so I can't be sure that the hitches always happen when auto regen is on. However, if it is the cause, then I wouldn't be surprised if the hitch is due to a software bug where the car momentarily can't decide whether to slow down or let you speed up.
