I had my second roof fitted last week, so far no cracks so fingers crossed. It was with them for 4 days

Do we have any idea when the most recent incidence of cracked roofs on new vehicles was? Is it still happening on recently manufactured vehicles?

Since then we have had the battery shortage so I guess there could be lots of turismos sitting waiting for batteries and having cracked roofs!

Yep, ditto (mine just before yours I believe). Was all good for the week after but I’ve not done many miles yet and then been away on business. Probably check it as soon as I’m back to see if any temp changes have done anything whilst away ?. I’ll be forever looking at the roof after every journey but it gives “Rocinante” a bit of extra character!

My roof was fitted today, but I was told it would be ready for pick up tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Can someone check if the rear part of the glass is flush with the rear spoiler? I recall that it was. On my new glass, it is not and there is also now a gap between the glass and the rear spoiler seal.

Apologies as car is pretty filthy right now but gaps not that off I don't think - yours might be slightly wider?

Thanks! The glass looks to be set back further than mine. When looking from the same profile from my pic, do you see the rear part of the glass being set a few mm higher than the rear spoiler?

Your roof looks like it is too far forward. Here is what mine looks like from the factory. Note that it is raised above the rear spoiler, not flush.

Ok! Thanks @ciaranob and @Hirschaj .

It looks to be a few mm set too far forward then. I don't think that the dealership will remedy this. Let's see if it cracks again. If not I suppose I will just live with it but will definitely point it out in case there is a problem. It's one of the key reasons I don't like windshield replacements... Alignment is always slightly off. Just like this roof.

FYI, there is a question about the windshield being removed to replace the roof. Whether it's required or not, my windshield was replaced along with the roof.

I don’t think my windscreen was replaced when they fitted the last roof!

My car goes in again this week, for it’s third roof, let’s hope that it stays crack free.

My new roof was fitted yesterday. Was told they changed the procedure for installing the new roof including new wedges
