The story continues. My Bank is closed today and won't send the wire until Monday. They want this to close before end of month of course, so they ran my credit and want to set up a temporary finance agreement to be canceled when the money is received.

Two banks rejected me (I have an 850 credit score) because I don't use enough credit, lol. Porsche said they'll still approve me if I send them some pay stubs, which I did.

New paper work should land in the morning so the car can be picked up in the afternoon (they are shipping three to my area and are getting a better rate). Not sure this car is supposed to happen :)

If shipping it, perhaps they could write in the sales contract that if you cannot provide full funding before delivery (presumably next week, after your credit union opens), they get to cancel the sale and keep your deposit, which should pay for shipping the car back and forth?

Something like that will happen... but the risk will be pushed off to their bank and not the dealership.

Loan paperwork signed this morning which is supposed to be cancelled Monday after they receive my wire. I have a communication trail on all of this that I think would be convincing in arbitration, but who knows :\ I suppose it's all a simple interest loan and I'm paying it off immediately, at worst.

Still feels odd. Car is due for transport pickup today.

This deal is cursed. Carrier just wrote to say they will only be picking up a different car due for delivery up here and not mine.

While I'm impatient, I can wait and told them so; the amount of hoops I've jumped through to ensure they make this deal before months end and make that delivery window is kinda ridiculous. I was feeling like I owed them something for the amount of hoops I made them jump through with the PIWIS stuff... guess we're even now :\

Final update to this thread (I think). Car was delivered today a couple of small scuff marks happened during the process which the driver called out. I have an appointment Monday for a paint correction and ceramic coating so I hope they'll come out..

A couple of quick observations after driving it a bit today:

1) It's odd there isn't a quick way to bring up the cameras (I know you can program the joker keys, mine are assigned to more important things... for now)

2) The armrest storage area is as bad or worse than everyone says... what I pain in the ass to use (to plug in anything or charge your phone).

3) I have to get used to the size of this car... the front is longer and the car is wider than anything I've driven in the last 7 years or so (it is similar to the Tesla Model S I drove in 2016/17).

4) I wish the PCM USB music source had more functionality for playlists and favorites (I haven't played with it enough to know it doesn't, but it's not immediately obvious).

5) Active ride is pretty neat.

For 1)- hit the park assist button then you can click to pull up the cameras.

1) Agree with this observations but does not bother me since the car is very good at going into Surround View when something is close by. Also, what is the more important setting and keep in mind that you have 2x Joker buttons to work with.

2) Agree with this one, so recommend using rear seat ports to connect your phone for charging, as they are easy to access and face forward. Otherwise, keep one side of cable plugged into the USB port in the arm rest cubby and use the other loose end to connect the phone.

3) Agree with that when you are the first timer, but then it just grow on you and around you. I cannot come up with a better designed seating position for fun all the time driving. Yes, getting in and out is a known thing given forward placed B-pillar, but when you are in, nothing can match it.

4) PCM whatever is basic so expectations should be low.

5) Active Ride seems to be the latest innovation. I have the old school J1.1 AS+PDCC+RWS and to me it seems to have more natural feedback than the latest Active Ride Turbo S I drove on the track.

One thing I'm noticing is the car warning me and taking over suddenly in inappropriate circumstances. I assume it active lane keep so I might need to turn all that stuff off and see how it does. I didn't have any issues like that during test drives so I assume the demo cars/sales people turn it all off before hand

This is expected. I think 2025+ made it even more aggressive. Taycan does not have capacitive sensors on the steering wheel so resting your hands on it, does not do anything, you need to apply steering tension on it for it to detect that you have control of the car.

I think if you look, the length and width of the Taycan is nearly identical to the Model S.

LoL... just received this "incentive" for buying the car:

Valued Penske Automotive Group customers can join the Fuel Rewards® program and save at least 5¢/gal on every fill-up with Gold Status at Shell.
Plus, get an extra 25¢/gal on your next fill-up.

I have two rattles (one on each side) that were not there during my test drive... I guess they uncovered during shipping. Very annoying/disappointing. I haven't been able to pin point them yet... Anyone know if Porsche will look at/try to fix these on a used CPO car (it's only 6 months old) if I am able to locate them?

Nice work, not sure about this water spot removal process... never seen that done this way, acid and polish should cut it.
You didn't do full front ppf? most of the chips are gonna be on the painter bumper and hood
