I’m thinking about getting a charger installed at my Mum’s house for when I visit.
At the moment I will just be having the option of the 3-pin glacial trickle charge.
Is there an intermediate (cheaper) option or is my only alternative to go with a full Zappi (or similar) EVSE?

I can't recall who (sorry) but I was advised that when on the web portal, download the production image, open it, right click it, and open the 'details' or 'file info' ...in there is the date it was taken.

I will try and find out when I get home.

Update for information..

I ordered in June 2022.
In February I was advised April build, May delivery.
In March I was told about the heater delays, no new dates.
End of April my app advised 'scheduled for production'..
Dealer has just advised today that build will be August for a September delivery.
So 16 month delivery period.
Happy days lol

I have to believe that a significant reason for your delayed build sequencing has more to do with the right hand drive than the heaters. The US has seen very few production delays since January. From what my SA and his manager have seen, all of their Feb, Mar, and Apr allocations have been produced on schedule. The only significant delays they have encountered have been getting on ships from Emden.

I don’t know when the model year changeover occurs but an August build sounds like a MY24 car.

I just heard from my SA that my delivery has been pushed to June . Seems like it was delayed in Emden as it is only now crossing the Atlantic, whereas it was supposed to already be at the dealership. So much for my plans for the May 24 weekend.

Lake Taupo is ‘supposed’ to be in Jacksonville tonight. Fingers crossed! Friend of mine got a GT4 2 weeks ago, it was at the Jacksonville port <24h before being cleared and sent to the dealership. Hope mine is just as quick!!!

Manufacture finished last week on Thursday, now at Emden, 6 days later, might make it for delivery this month...

+1 to this and consistent with where I am, originally production scheduled for early March but moved to early April, now sitting in Emden since April 19 with hope to get on the ship on May 22.

I remember the good times, when we ordered 2016 Macan when they were a hot item, by casually discussing a possibility of placing the order in April of 2015, demanding a big discount or else, having it built in June, and then delivered in July and still having the rest of the year to go before it actually turned 2016. Good times, no more...

Yes, MY24 car at MY23 price.. because I have already absorbed many thousands when the MY22 price jumped to the MY23 price, and the interest rate jumped from 6.9% to over 10%... So I'm not accepting any more price increases ?

It is finally my turn!!! Friday delivery of my CT4S!! It was to be delivered the last week of February and because of the heater gate I only receive it now.

My saler had to calm my nerves when he told me maybe delivery in August-September during this shortage of components!

Looks like we have very similar timelines although I have no visibility of app stages etc. as Porsche GB had the leasing company’s email address attached to the build.

I only found out as I didn’t receive any PEC invitation nor confirmation of my PEC booking. Mine exited the factory last week and is also currently at Emden. Good luck!
