Hi all, newbie here although been lurking for a few weeks.

Should be collecting my first Porsche, Taycan GTS in a couple of weeks, containing the excitement.

My question is, as I’m purchasing a second hand car, can I still use the “My Porsche app”, how do I register if the vehicle has already been registered in the app?

Any top tips you can share, I would welcome them.

I picked up a CPO GTS a month ago. I already had a My Porsche account I was using to save and track car searches, but if you don't you can create one (it's just your email account).

Your Sales person will need to set it all up for you. I received a text from him to expect a two emails from Porsche: To activate the car (see below) and to activate plug and play charging.

This is the car activation email:

Souls, connected: Connect with your Taycan GTS​
Dear Mr. X,

Your Porsche Partner has added your vehicle Taycan GTS (VIN: *************) to your Porsche ID account.

To use the services of the vehicle above, please first click on the following link, log in with your existing user data and then confirm the new vehicle via SMS code.​
"

From there, I couldn't do much until I got into the car and logged in via QR code during the setup process.

Valuable info, thanks, also worked out what CPO means 👍🏼
Mines a purchase via standard forecourt dealer.

I presume you’re enjoying the GTS.

Couple of things if you aren't buying through a Porsche dealer:

1) Make sure you have a warranty and can buy a Porsche extended warranty (or equivalent) before that expires.

2) You might need to contact Porsche support directly to get your car and account connected since I doubt a dealer outside of Porsche can do that.

As mentioned create your My Porsche Account/download the app.

I bought mine from an EV dealer and wanted to get the car set up in the My Porsche app ready for when I picked it up.

Contacted [email protected] requested the car was added and jumped through a few hoops ……

To proceed we are required to see:

- A copy of the official V5 document, 1st and 2nd page showing your name and vehicle information.

- Alternatively, you can provide a purchase invoice at zero value (it must show your name and vehicle VIN/CHASSIS and be signed by both parties).

- If you are not the owner or the registered keeper. We would need an email authorisation from the vehicle owner to proceed.

- If the vehicle is in a company name on the V5C document, we require the information forwarded from a company email address.
