Congrats. Looks amazing! Love the spec. For your next custom order make sure to take advantage of PEC Atlanta. Once you do it you will never settle for a boring dealership delivery at Hoffman again.

I only live 15 min away from you in CT. Small world.

We will be twins as you have almost the exact build as I have in production but mine is a '23 Turbo. Your total price is the same as my base price and seems like a way WAY better value ?

I am doing stealth (matte) PPF on the entire car (should look amazing on top of the CWM). Between that and my carbon fiber wheels and your sports front bumper it will keep us looking similar yet different

Is yours a '22 or '23?

How did you get the Glacier lights for free? (Is that a GTS thing?)

Also how did you get the tax credit? I thought based on both price of Taycan plus how much I earn I am excluded from any credits on the Taycan. What am I missing?

It’s a beauty!
I love glacier blue Porsche on the back (and lights as well), it’s simply amazing!
(I’d remove gts in black, btw).
Congrats on your wife too  :giggle:

Congrats and amazing. I wonder if you can

1. Share interior pictures especially of the Aluminum trim with Black/Chalk interior.
2. What are the All-Season Tires brand/spec arrived on the car with picture helpful.
3. Could you help me understand the need for the Supply Cable NEMA 14-30?
4. Could you confirm that there is no more LED lighting for the rear footwells?
Continental contact pro all season, I absolutely have lighting for rear footwells

thanks for reaching out , what town? Mine is a 23’. On my GTS the blue headlights and rear logo wasn’t an upcharge.

as it relates to tax credit, check this out, if this is true I’ll be eligible as I met the criteria by the “skin of my teeth”.

https://electrek.co/2022/07/27/senate-moves-forward-ev-tax-credit-reform-tesla-tsla/

Transition provision for EVs with written sales orders dated in 2022 prior to the date of President signing the bill but delivered in 2023 allows purchaser to claim the “old” credit in 2023. (Page 386, line 20).

I just got my car back from detailer, it looks phenomenal. What kind of car are you leaving behind?

This is so nice of you, thank you for sharing the tire spec and confirming rear foot lighting is there.

Only other delete that was noted for 2022/2023 was removal of the cell phone signal amplifier when the phone is in the inductive charging slot. There should be an easy way to test this by having the phone just inside the console and noting the bars and then putting it into the inductive slot and seeing if there are more bars.

I still don't see how the Taycan qualifies. Please point out what I am missing from your link as I see three strikes against the Taycan:
❌ Electric sedans priced up to $55,000 MSRP qualify.
❌ Vehicle must be assembled in North America to qualify for new credit.
❌ In order to get the full credit, the electric vehicle needs to be assembled in North America, the majority of battery components need to come from North America, and contain a certain percentage of minerals from countries with free trade agreements with the US.

And another strike against me:
❌ The full EV tax credit will be available to individuals reporting adjusted gross incomes of $150,000 or less, $300,000 for joint filers.

I will be trading my 2020 M8 Convertible for the Taycan Turbo and replacing the convertible with a Tesla Roadster that I've had on deposit for a long time. Hoping for a 2024, but expecting a 2025 given how delayed the Semi was and Cybertruck is. If Tesla takes longer 2025 maybe by then Porsche will offer a convertible EV and I will switch to that!

Post after detail pics!

When did you put your deposit down for Taycan?
My original Taycan deposit was placed in early 2015 at the same time as I ordered my 2016 Cayman GT4. The Mission E had not even been released yet and a Porsche EV was just a rumor at the time.

So I was first on my dealers list when the Taycan came out, but I turned down my initial Turbo allocation as there were too many forced options that I didn't want (forced glass roof for example) or certain options I wanted didn't even exist yet (glacier front/rear lights for example) and I couldn't do PEC delivery.

I, like you, wanted a "Mission E spec" and really wrestled between the carbon fiber wheels and the Mission E wheels painted in white. I love how the Mission E wheels show off the PSCB brakes but I also love the carbon aero wheels.

For being one of the initial Taycan deposits, Porsche sent me lots of swag including a metal display piece with one of the original Taycan drawings on it. That artwork had the 5 spoke aero blade style wheels on it from all the way back then and I loved the deep dish look that they have that the Mission E wheels lacked.

The drawing the same or similar to this one:
Porsche Taycan My Taycan GTS arrival (Carrera White Metallic) porsche-taycan-sketch

(the artwork is currently in my attic in storage)

So for my current Turbo order I didn't have a deposit down. I just emailed my GM that I wanted one in November 2022.
My ETA is presently March 17th (as long as they sort out the 12v delays by then!). I've been with the same GM (who used to work @ Hoffman) since 1999 and I've bought tons of Audi's and Porsche's from him over the years.

That’s the part you’re missing. You needed to have a binding contract with 10% down on or before president signed the bill to qualify for federal tax credit. Those who did, got grandfathered under previous bill. It’s crazy to think I committed to this car and never even sat in it before! I’ll try to get some pics out tomorrow, There’s been numerous requests. BTW, that CWM is spectacular In person, especially in sunlight, it waffles between blue gray, and white …pictures don’t do it justice! My second choice was Neptune blue with RS wheels or the ice grey.

Ah...I only gave $10k in November as that's all he requested to place the order. I guess I'll contact my GM and see what he says about it.

I know! :like:
It is a very cool (temperature) white unlike flat white which is much warmer. This will be my 4th Porsche with CWM and I've chosen it on several Audi orders as well (Glacier White in Audi speak).

I forget the exact date , but august or July was the cutoff , November is definitely to late. Here’s another thought , I had the dealer Install the clear sidemarkers before I picked it up, couldn’t stand the ugly orange markers

Not my first rodeo lol. Those things are always the first to go! Already have a pair to take with me on the flight to PEC Atlanta.

Def missed that tax cutoff...great for you though! Your GTS build is an even better value than I originally thought!
