I'm sure that some of you smart and more experienced owners can help me with this. I like to set my navigation so that it zooms at junctions, but the next time I set a new route it has decided to forget my preference and it has to be selected again; how do I make this navigation request permanent? Plus, if I modify my route as I travel along the one originally selected by the car, is there a way of telling the car to remember the route we have travelled for future journeys? Thanks everyone.

Haven’t noticed that the auto zooming feature isn’t retained (set via going into nav map options and checking the box for auto zoom).

I understand settings return to default if the user is guest but assuming you’re logged into your account and your name is shown on the PCM your settings should be retained.

Not sure about the second question on remembering routes. It remembers destinations but the routes could vary due to traffic and route preferences etc. Maybe I’ve misunderstood the question.

@chun when you hit the 3 dots to go into navigation settings you should see “Further navigation settings” by scrolling down, select “Map settings”. Automatic Zoom is in there.

Sorry Leccy61, I probably wasn't clear. I understand how to request Zoom at junctions, it's just that after using it for a journey it then disappears for the next navigated journey and has to selected again. On the save the route question; it was a matter of deviating from the Tacans best route onto another road, which it then, as you all know after a few miles it admits defeat and navigates you on your chose of routes. I want to save that for a repeat of the journey. I'm probably asking for too much, because as you say, it always want to guide you on the route that's best depending on conditions on the day.

That auto zoom setting has always stayed set for me Paul so unless you’re not logged into your account no idea why it would change.

Maybe a workaround for wanting a specific route could be to use stops at places that will ensure the nav will route you that way. There’s also the settings for avoiding motorways etc. but sounds like you want to be more specific than that, so adding stops might help.
