A noise has developed that seems to be emanating from the front right wheel area when I turn slight left. A sharp left seems to silence it.
The noise is like a chirp and a whistle in one continuous sound. Like it has a slight reverberation in it. Not sure if my camera picked it up.
While filming I was trying to angle the microphone to better pick it up through the open window so disregard the camera going all over.

It isn't affected by braking. So, applied or not, the noise is there when turning slight left.

I initially thought something was wedged in the brake system, between the pad and rotor but when that has happened in other vehicles
the noise went away on its own, this noise has been there for a week.

I'm going to make a dealer appointment but I was just curious if anyone here experienced it and knew, at least in their case, what it was.

Probably the front lower control arm/ball joint. Mine just failed recently with similar symptoms.

Really? How many miles are on your Taycan? Mine has about 22k. Seems 100k too early for a ball joint replacement.

Even 55k seems early for this kind of failure. Yours is making a similar sound when turning?

My noise was "squeakier", but talking to the tech at the time, he said that both Taycans and Panamera's are prone to ball joint and lower control arm issues.

Could be a CV joint, too, of course, given it's happening when you're turning.

Either way I'd certainly get it checked out.

I'll have to make an appointment. Just now, pulling into the garage, it squealed while braking which is new. I thought these PSCB brakes were supposed to last a while. I've had traditional iron rotor brakes last 45k before replacement. If these PSCB are done at 22k, I'm not going to be happy.

The ceramic breaks do squeal when they're wet and haven't been used a lot that "trip". It's quite unlikely they're "done".

PSCB are not ceramic, they're surface coated steel. Ceramics are PCCB.

And yes, I agree: ceramics do squeal a little when very wet, such as after washing.

I'm taking it in tomorrow. I'm genuinely wondering what they will find.

I won't know anything until next week. Car will be with them while they explore this along with completing the open campaigns. I also have issues with the main center vertical screen being blank and not booting up. They gave me a Macan EV loaner. My first impression is, I like it. My aging Cayenne will need a replacement soon and this might be a viable option. The limited EV range is a factor though that without an ICE car in the garage, becomes an even bigger obstacle. The Taycan wasn't a concern since the Cayenne is still here.

I had a Macan EV loaner last time, too, and thought it was interesting. Certainly more efficient than the Taycan (at least the 2020 one). Electronics were a mix of better and worse (I think the information design on the gauge cluster was cluttered and weird), with unreliable AirPlay connection (but interesting integration when connected, including with the instrument cluster).

Same here. It took me a bit to find the areas where to change settings, like how to assign the steering wheel button, to change the reported MPG/efficiency as miles per kilowatt and to turn on the adaptive cruise. I didn't try Airplay yet but I probably will.

I'm surprised by how much bigger it seems over the ICE Macan. Last one I drove was strikingly smaller than my Cayenne and tighter inside. This one doesn't give that impression.

Recently had the same chirping/squeaking, from the front right side. Happened when turning gently to the right while driving (no braking). I took a number of videos of the sound.

Took it into first dealership, they said they cleaned out some rocks/peddles from the backside of the wheel. Sound decreased but was still present. Took it to second dealership; it took them a while to duplicate the sound. They performed the Brake Squeal service (1801) and did not find much. Then they removed the front brake pads and found glazing. They sanded and chamferred the pads and lubricated the system. I just got the car back and so far no noises.
