Any one had a issue with passenger side door mirror not lowering when car put into reverse gear? It did work and have checked the settings , the option to lower is ticked. Car is MY23, 4S. Have uploaded a couple of over air updates but believe these were just car play!

Happened to me once.
Then i changed the position and it started to work again.
Or, maybe you already have it to low, so there’s no free space for lowering anymore?

i set this when i got it 13 months ago but it NEVER did anything - and it started doing it like 3-4 months ago (nothing changed). THEN it stopped a few weeks ago. i'm guessing they keep messing with it in the OTA updates (??)

i have surround view which i love, but i like to be 2" from a curb (sorry, 5 cm) and nothing beats lowering the passenger mirror when backing into a spot

Mine is temperamental.
Often forgets to raise back up to normal position.

I can't remember now......
Does it matter if you have the passenger or driver side mirror delected/lit on the door armrest to make it work?

I had to re-do mines after the uPdate. Have you set the position you like while in reverse and watch it return to normal when shifting to drive?

Understood, but maybe something/somehow is reset again when you change position of the mirror? I have no other explanation. I just moved a little up/down and after that it started to woek again.

I'll try that, thanks and I'll look a switch position. Must admit didnt think I had touched anything to do with the mirrors since it last worked

I believe you need to set the mirror position while in reverse and then the ECU will remember it. I dont think it lowers both mirrors at the same time either. I find that once I select the mirror using the door switch it will then lower. Goes back to normal once in drive.

I think it is less a matter of not functioning, but that nobody really has seen instructions on how the feature is supposed to work.

Reset it.

Put the car in R then lower the mirror to the desired position then put the car in P. Power off.

To check, power on and put the car in R.

I'm guessing you have already checked the option is switched on in settings?

Use the side view where there is a blue line to denote the kerb line.

Reset how? The lowering has never worked on my car, I tries adjusting while in reverse, it just stays there when driving forward. The option in PCM is checked.

The mirror must be positioned first (reset).

With the car powered on select R then adjust the passenger mirror until you see as much of the kerb as needed, select N, the mirror will return to the original position after a few seconds and is now set for next time R is selected.
