You are not reading the information I have provided to you carefully enough.

You do not need to ask if the software works with the Taycan.

You need to know:-

What the software version is?

What VCI is being provided?

What laptop is required?

Is PIWIS supplied as an image, or software that will self-install?

What support is required to ensure the software will install correctly and link to the VCI?

I also suggest you download the Torrent I linked you to and see if that will instal since that is the biggest hurdle you have at the minute.

Just fyi, PIWIS engineering mode removes a lot of restrictions as far as coding and debugging. Standard versions of PIWIS require an online subscription for Engineering Mode, but there are standalone versions sold (looks like the one above has it).

As for Porsche in Poland not telling you about the recalls, it sounds like they may be thinking the car has been in a fire and never restored back to OEM specifications, therefore they don't want to touch it. Does the country of origin have an equivalent of US "salvage title"? Did you check if your car has one? It's a registration which tells people that the car has been deemed a total loss due to an accident or unrepairable breakages. Some people have repaired such cars, but often the salvage title makes the car loose some warranty coverages and some dealers don't want to touch the cars because they don't want to be accused to further breaking the car. In the US, the salvage titles are per state, so some people work around it by buying a car with salvage title in one state, fixing it and then registering it in another state without the "salvage" part. This is why in the US it's worth paying $40 or so to check the car history to see the entire registration history and if the car was totaled, or bought back by the manufacturer under lemon laws (unable to repair in reasonable time), or used as a taxi or police/ambulance/firefighting vehicle. A salvage title vehicle often loses warranty, and in some cases (like Tesla) it loses DC charging capabilities (Tesla remotely disables it).

Whited - Well, not from what I know and from the information I have, the car has never been declared a total loss and yesterday when I spoke to the dealer in Belgium I asked if the car had any information of this type added to the VIN, I was told that it didn't..., also I was advised by the dealer in Belgium if this dealer in Katowski, Poland, does not accept to carry out work on my car, that I should go to another one in the country! I'm sure you'll have to see a Porsche dealer to carry out these two services! As for the Piwi 3, I found two here that are for sale with everything, it would just be important for me to know which one would be the best option to work on and diagnose my car, The sale already comes with the laptop and everything included ready to connect and use, I included this information with each specification of each laptop with the piwi for sale, I just need to know which one will be the best option.....!!!?

in addition to this, the dealer in Katowiski also told me that the car not had any service carried out anywhere in the porche, and according to what the Belgian dealer told me yesterday, this information is not true, in fact he told me that he was a little surprised How come the dealership in Poland didn't have it or didn't want to have it…. or provide this information in the system…. (a little strange), he couldn't give me this information by email without the previous owner of the car giving authorisation, but he assured me that the car had always been attended to in service and recalls at Belgium and the last time he had done the service there It was in mid-September 2024! And what's more, the high voltage converter was replaced…..

As long as you get a fully enabled version of PIWIS with engineering mode and DoIP, the only difference between one or another will be the version of the software. However, if the versions are close, the main differences will be the latest campaigns and latest firmwares which may be applicable to your car (the PIWIS will tell you some ECU may have a newer version to be programmed). Personally I never reprogram anything, as the one I have access to is not he absolute latest, but I have recoded and used it for diagnostics.

Reference the recall on your battery, this is a safety issue and cannot be ignored by the Porsche dealer, I would have no concerns that Porsche will complete this recall FOC.

shug I apologize for going back a little, yesterday I published here two ads with photos, of two individuals here in Poland, who have two laptops for sale with piwi 3 - 4.2 and 3.8, I just wanted to know what your opinion would be on I purchase one of them for my problem…. Which of the two laptops with the piwi is suitable in your opinion for working on my car, diagnosis, if it is possible to program etc… I think the first one the piwi is more current and I think it is legitimate….
