I too had plug and charge stop working and use the app to activate the charger. So months ago the app stopped opening the chargers. I would be at a charger and no matter how many times I pressed the name of the charger it never opened to allow you to select which charger and press start. Fortunately I have a home charger and go to EA when traveling. I seem to have found an answer. My hubby has the app on his phone that works. His phone is newer than mine. I decided to completely uninstall the My Porsche app, not cancel the account, just uninstall. After reinstalling the My Porsche app it works! I can open the chargers again. I pull up to a charger, tap the charger name in the app and it opens showing the different plugs allowing me to press start and charge. So this issue seems to be resolved for my 2020 4S. Some of you had the same issue, try uninstalling and downloading My Porsche again. I hope it works for you guys.
