Isn't this where my main breaker should be??

The label on the inside of the lid should have an amp rating also which would help ballpark the incoming feed size.

hmmm your loads seem to be as follows:
  • slot 1 & 3 - "big" 20 - disposal & dishwasher - not a big factor for 'simultaneous use'
  • slot 2 & 4 - 60 amp - AC Compressor - I'd bet it comes close to max load and can pop on & off at any time - so could be loaded while charging an EV
  • slot 6 & 8 - AC Compressor "front" - see above
  • slot 10 & 12 - Oven - only used during meal preparation - not commonly on during EV charging after midnight - but I don't know your family
  • slot 14 & 16 - Cooktop - see oven usage patterns
  • slot 18 & 20 - 25 amps - water heater - will go on & off at random times, but mostly during the day while people are awake - unlikely to have a lot of load "during" off hour EV charging
the two AC units are the most expensive and the most likely to ever be running while you're charging your EV - if you schedule it to charge "while sleeping"…

The first pic looks like another subpanel. The second looks like it’s for a 400 amp service. I still don’t see the main breaker though.

Can you guys help me out here?
I keep hearing that every home is 100 to 200 amps.
Im doing my math based on the numbers on the breakers...
My Panel A adds up to 470 amps
My panel B adds up to 320 amps
Is this correct?
How do I know how much more amperage is available?
And will I be able to run a 100 amp based on this info?

if you need to ask us this question I urge you to hire a licensed electrician to do the installation.
assuming that you are in the US you will need only a dedicated 50 amp circuit to run the pmcc

It might be those A and B ones for the two panels you listed earlier. Might be two separate 200 amp feeds. Can’t tell.

Agree. Get an electrician.

Edit: I do electrical work for a living and I got an electrician...

Tesla handles it this way: 1) you can set the maximum current their EVSE will SUPPLY via jumpers or DIP switches in the EVSE; 2) You can configure the car to limit how much current it REQUESTS from the EVSE.

So for instance if you calculated that it would always be “safe” for your EVSE to draw say, 30A, you could configure it that way. So no matter how much the car requested, it would only ever supply 30A. Or, you could configure the car to only request say 30A, but “hard coding” it at the EVSE is considered the “better” approach in case you forget to limit the car.

Not sure if the Porsche EVSE is configurable in that regard as I’m still using my Tesla HPWC EVSE with a Tesla Tap Mini 60A.

You’re asking about “running 100 amp”. Do you know what AC charger you have in the car and what EVSE you’ll be using?
