It was a fantastic day and the food was great. Take care with the launch control - after a couple of goes that food will be smeared on your backbone. Launch is now known as collywobbles in our house ( and I have never ever introduced it to my wife)?

The instructors probably will drive a bit if asked, but unless the tracks (which are quite short and have multiple junctions to connect with other SEC facilities) are unusually quiet, there's little opportunity for anyone to really push on safely or stay on optimum lines for long (and they don't want to dent customers egos ?), so I'd say just relax and enjoy driving yourself...they'll help keep you out of trouble. It's not competitive, there'll probably be a wide range of Porsche models taking part, and most people are focused on familiarising themselves with the car.

It’s satisfying passing 911 Turbo’s :)
(Obviously only when invited to and the instructor say so, but it feels good when you are passing other cars) ?

You’ll do plenty of launches! Get out on that track :) don’t get delayed being taught how to use the PCM or turn on steering wheel heating!
Thing that blew my mind was a hands-off emergency stop with half the car on the ice road and half on tarmac - took a bit of faith but wow, showed how amazing the stability control is!
Sounds great. This is definitely whetting my appetite. ?

You will love the whole experience
From the minute you turn up you get looked after

ask to charge your car when you turn up & you will get a free top up while you go enjoy the car
then you will have a lovely 3 course meal and drinks
The instructor will go through all the cars features on and off track
Enjoy
Thank you. Sounds like it will be a great day. We will be going as a family, so it will be a great day out.

It gets even better. Get to watch a few 911's heading around the track too...?

Oh and the final memorable part was sneaking a sit in the GT3 RS in the lobby and pressing all the buttons. They don’t seem to mind, so hop in! Most satisfying gear shift clickers ever! Could just to that all day!

I always wondered why I have not been offered the experience despite the fact is part of the contract when I signed it… shall I claim the experience?
Just sk your sales guy to sort it. Or even phone silverstone direct and ask them to do it.

Pretty sure the invite spreadsheet was written by same guy who did PCM 1.0.

That's a good point. Might ask them for the first lap to show me the ropes. I would like to try the launch control too. Not had the opportunity to use it so would like to see how it feels.
You'll do several launches and emergency stops!
My session, comprised of an hour and 45 mins on the newer circuit, building up speed getting tips on steering line, braking and power back on etc. Then into the two straight sections. Launching and emergency stops practicing steering while under full emergency braking. Then some tight figure of eights before a very quick coffee break. Part 2 was onto the other track then on to the kick pad (red plastic road surface with water sprayed onto it and hydrolic ram to kick the back of the car off line and induce a spin) which was amazing fun. Practicing trying to control the car in a spin after having the back end kicked out. Progressing from full assistance to traction control completely off. Final part was the inclined skid road.

Thanks @Speuk. I have used kick plates in the past on safety courses through work, I agree, they are great fun and really help you to understand how to handle the car. I look forward to trying this in a Taycan. I hope it is not raining on the day, but if it is, then I will probably be putting the driver aids to their full potential...?. If anyone on the forum is also there on Wednesday afternoon, then I look forward to meeting you then.

You’ll likely get more useful information about how the car behaves if it is raining
