I’ve ordered a ’25 Taycan and I’m considering PPF on the front/mirrors and Ceramic coating on the whole. Would you recommend PPF on the whole car and Ceramic also, or is that overkill? And, what’s the best way to protect the glass top?

Welcome to the Forum! I did exactly what you're proposing on my 2022 RWD (full-front PPF and ceramic all over). I thought PPF on the entire car was too much, but it's a personal choice. Search other threads for those who do a good job explaining why they put PPF all over.

There are some who think PPF isn't worth it at all. One reason is their Taycan is leased and will be turned back in. Another reason is some folks think the PPF costs more than costs of touch-up paint and body work over the years. The final choice is yours.

I'm not sure how to protect the glass top. I recall reading about one person who put window protection film on the front lip (6-12 inches?) of the glass top.

Good luck, enjoy, and drive it like you stole it!

And now in the interest of providing too much information...

FWIW my dealer had PPF and ceramic installed before I took delivery. Here's what I wrote about it in December 2022:
--------------------------------------------------
I told my Sales Associate that I was going to install clear front side markers and get window tint, paint protection film (PPF), and ceramic coating right after taking possession.

Much to my surprise, he said I can have that all done here before you pick up the car. The clear markers were US$200 installed. After we worked out the specifics*, he quoted me the price and the warranties, and they were in line with other quotes I received. These "dealer-installed options" were added to the bill of sale, and I didn't have to worry about dings, chips, and bug splat on my first drive home.

*Tint: darkness, name brand, %UV protection, %heat rejection, warranty (I did Xpel nano 35% US$700 in June 2022) The darkest window tint permissible in Arizona is 33% on the rear and side windows.
PPF: whether to do front bumper, full-front, or full-body (I did Xpel Ultimate full-front US$2000)
Full-body Ceramic: whether to do single or double-coat (I did double Opti-Coat US$1800. Single was US$1400.)

I Highly recommend PPF+ Pro grade coating like CSL, Ultra, System X etc.. some of the PPF providers have their own branded coating, these are recommended as well.

I have done that on mine and it turned out great. I also tested PPF on a small section of the panoramic roof, and from the outside it worked perfectly. However from inside it gave the glass a frosted look, like bathroom glass, so I didn’t go ahead with it. I might go back and get the front section of the panoramic done as the interior trim covers that from view inside. This was Xpel.

SUNTEK REACTION PPF. No need for extra ceramic coat with this. I did my entire car except for roof, and I love it. Saved my paint when somebody sideswiped my car, leaving a streak of red down the side. You can find pictures in another thread on the forum.

I went with entire car PPF and Ceramic. Makes the car much easier to clean and maintain. You don’t have to worry about paint swirls especially on black paint. I also went with Matte PPF, so I like the way it changed the look of my car. To me that was worth the cost.

I would PPF the front clip (possibly the glass roof) and ceramic coat the entire vehicle and wheels…only if incidental damage would impact your ownership experience. Otherwise, touch up paint and a spray sealant after regular washing will get you to the same result in the end.

I did everything on the entire vehicle (with the exception of the windshield) for my own enjoyment of the ownership experience but I can tell you for sure that it’s a big waste of money…I am still ok with it though.
