Cannot add more to the super helpful replies, but say, make sure all recalls are up to date, expect the bottom for any scrapes and dents, and then get a good battery health report with cell data on temp, voltage, state of charge that can be done on your own.

What we do offer is review of the actual contenders that you choose to buy, where we can tell pros/cons.

There are a lot of deer in New England so I’m glad I have the Night Vision option on my Taycan.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I have a car reserved. Seeing it Saturday.
I will reveal spec and pics when (if) I pick it up. Having the dealer PPF it too

Spec looks good.

150kW charger is pointless IMO. I've yet to use a public charge area with 400V Tesla chargers that didn't have 350kW non-Tesla (faster).

Lane Change Assist? Blind spot help. Once you've had this, it feels weird not to!

Auto cruise control is something I'll always want. Used infrequently, but when it does get used, it's a massive help!

Heated seats and wheel useful - especially when you can remote start them in winter (again, once owned, hard to go back).

Matrix lights very good.

Leather interior is a good shout - the lower specs feel...lower rent without it.

The approved used site is very good with great filtering. I'd be using that myself - part of the fun.

Hi All,

Just waiting on delivery next week of the Taycan 4S CT that I went for. Dealer have given me a brand new Panamera as they wanted to sell on my M3 within October.

The spec I went for:

Volcano Grey Metallic
LED Matrix lights
Bose
Innodrive incl. ACC
Sport Chrono
All exterior trims in Black
Power Steering Plus
18 Way Sport Seats
4+1
Full black leather
Privacy Glass
Surround View
150kw booster
Dashcam prep

All on a 23 4S Cross with 1 previous owner

The car is having full PPF and Ceramic at Topaz. Asked that they PPF the gloss black interior where the passenger screen would be as it’s scratched to hell and back.

Will get some pics uploaded when I take delivery, hopefully on Weds this coming week.

The Panamera is lovely, registered in October and only has 160 miles on it. Significantly down on power though.

thank you all for your input

Brief update.

Took delivery last week. Heater is dead on arrival. It’s now at my local dealer for that and a collection of other issues.

so much for the 111 point check!

Hope you get it all sorted in one visit and then enjoy it.
What up - apart from the heater (which as you probably now know is very common)?

Hi ladies & gents

I’m currently on the hunt for my first EV, a Taycan 4S CT. Only able to afford an approved used car mind you, but excited nonetheless.

So far I have narrowed down colours and spec choices, and I’m finding my local dealer is happy to help look on the approved used site but seems to have limited options for acquiring a car otherwise.

Whilst I’m waiting I thought I’d ask here if anyone has had any particularly positive dealer experiences in the approved used world and if there are any potential spec options which I may have missed, oh and does anyone have any suggestions for dealers I should actively avoid?

Spec wise my essentials are:
Ambient lighting
Folding / anti dazzle mirrors
BOSE
Privacy glass
Pan roof
4+1 Seats
14/18 way seats
Black valance / surrounds
150kw booster
Roof rails in black

I did have the sport chrono on the list but that’s now moved to desirable

looking forward to joining the club ASAP.
Surround view is a must for parking.

Yeah it’s already had heater work done in the past according to the history.

So I thought I was in the clear, but it seems I’m wrong.

Unfortunately both the local dealership and the distant one (Tewkesbury) are not being all that helpful. Took me a solid couple of hours to even get them to agree to a car to keep me mobile whilst they fix the heater.

The selling dealer (Tewkesbury) also did not prep the car in the way they promised, so I now have to, as I understand it, book a separate visit to fix the two things they missed - this then means I’m subject to typical wait times for a courtesy car which is ridiculous. One of the two items is bodywork related which I’m skeptical about being fixed rather than replacing the parts.

I have complained to Porsche GB as I’m being messed around but so far no dice. I understand things go wrong - but how they are reacting is unsatisfactory.

They have until Wednesday before I seriously consider rejecting the car.

Should have stuck with BMW.

Interesting. I’m collecting a car from Tewkesbury soon so will keep your comments in mind.

Did you buy the blue 4S they had listed?
edit: ignore, read the thread properly!

Be very careful. I was messed around with dates and eventually when they delivered it the heater was already broken and the bodywork defect was immediately visible.

I would currently be very reluctant to make the same purchasing decision again.

What a disgrace. They should be falling over themselves to put it right and stick you in something nice immediately. It's this sort of customer service that's putting me off the brand rather than the problems ive actually had with my car.

You may well have gone this route, but when i received my new car and there was a problem, i went to the sales guy not the service centre to get it sorted. He got it straight into the garage and gave me a decent spec car to use in meantime. There should be at least some honeymoon period to avoid the long wait and no loan car cobblers.

good luck.
