I purchased a low mileage MY2020 Taycan Turbo S from a Porsche dealer out of state about 3 months ago. The dealer arranged for me to get the welcome e-mail to add the car to My Porsche account back when I took delivery. Everything was working fine until today when I received a notification on the App and an e-mail that my vehicle was removed from My Porsche account. Poof gone. No warning and no longer associated with either app or My Porsche on the web. After a long wait on the phone for a representative I had someone who knew what she was saying and doing (somewhat pleasantly surprised).

Long story short, because the car was a CPO and not activated as a new car, PCNA needs to receive proof of ownership and identity (either copy of registration or insurance card and copy of drivers license or passport). Since that was never sent the car was removed from my account automatically after 90 days. So after uploading photos of those documents to the My Porsche site the representative was able to re-add the car to my account. That then required me to set up everything again and delete the old account from the car (which had moved to a secondary user for some reason) and re-add my account as the primary user. It also deleted all radio presets. All in all it took about an hour and half to resolve all this. It all worked out in the end but if anyone has a CPO or other used Taycan they should check with Porsche that they have the ownership proof they need before this happens to you as well.
