Did a 257 mile round trip. It’s a regular trip fir me and I normally have about 10% remaining at the end, so no stress.
This time however, my return journey was in the dark, it was wet and cold and consumption was higher. It was a nervous last 30 minutes as I watched the remaining distance and remaining range align. I could have stopped to recharge, but I really wanted to ‘win’ against the math. As you can see from the photo, I ended with 1% and 2 mile and sweaty palms! ?

This is good stuff, because you can see how reliable the range is, when you really need it, isn't it?

Have the Standard battery for the Turbo, so 84 kWH. You’ll love it when it comes. Great car. I enjoy the range challenge and not so bothered about the speed anymore. I might go for the entry spec 2 wheel drive next time and spec the big battery - plenty fast enough, better vfm, and just as much fun pushing the range.

Yes, fully agree. I can get quite excited when I get to a downhill that gives me a chance to coast - eeking out a little more range each time.

Exactly! Do we have a new term/abbreviation for this driving behavior?

Hmm, very good question. Maybe, NBC (no braking coasters!). Or Masters of Coasting. Frankly, I’m a better driver in an EV than my previous 911, I’m behaving better too. No desire to speed or hard accelerate, always anticipating so to minimize touching brake, keeping a good distance from vehicle in front. Most of the behaviors required to squeeze a little more range are good road behaviors anyway, with the exception of a long steep hill where the coasting speed and not touching the brake can be a tad hairy!!

You are really onto something. If I drive for range, I am also a much better driver. But now that it's super hot, I need the AC all the time, the range is out the window, and I am back in rough Porsche driving mode.

I really wish I could come up with an excellent term for being an EV Coasting Master.

Yes, I still get pretty good consumptions with the AC on. Seems not to matter that much. I'll keep an eye on it, since permanent tropic summer heat just started...
