I was just been sent this by someone on a Tesla forum. It's in the tradition of Tesla owner Porsche-baiting, but hey. At least our steering wheels don't fall off.

I can't see how a silent update would even work, given the difficulties Porsche has demonstrated in pushing non-silent ones, but I have to admit to switching off auto updates just now...

There is some debate on this on thr FB Porsche Taycan Owner GB forum. Car shows up as stolen and cannot be started. No consensus if this is really because of a car software update or Porsche server update or how widespread it is.

You know, I wish it was true. Because that would mean we actually had working OTA.
(no, I don't count Maps and News app updates as working OTA)
