Seat Belt automatic tensioner

I am surprised you have not felt it. It is quite noticeable, at least in my car. A number of passengers have asked what that was when in the car for the first time!!

I'm surprised too. My wife's SLK spooks me every time it does it.
Maybe something unusual about my seating position and/or body shape (I thought I was normal...ish) means the belts are already tense enough?
EDIT- just checked with my wife- she's never noticed it in the Taycan.

Maybe I’m not explaining very well.
It’s when you drive off there’s a short sharp tensioning of the seatbelt.
I was under the impression all Porsches had this feature.

My 2022 Taycan 4S ST does this a couple of mins after driving off. My wife hates it but I think it’s a good feature.

I'm wondering whether MY22 and earlier don't have the feature (looking at a 2020 User Guide, the only mention of seatbelt pre-tensioning is in relation to the one-shot emergency reaction process).

I've just found a 2020 thread on the subject- it seems to conclude (link below) that auto-tightening is a feature of ACC (which I don't have). Seems odd if true.

I did attach the GTS standard spec that states it should be standard.

My understanding is that the tug (hug) after you start driving is only on models with ACC. That is different from the pretension when an accident is detected. All models have that.

I think that the feature listed as "pre-tensioning" of the seatbelts is the emergency reaction (by explosive charge which then needs replacement), rather than routine auto-tightening on drive off.
I've changed the wording of my previous post accordingly.

porsche Glasgow have been unable to confirm or deny since Monday.
The resident experts, sales team nor Porsche Uk have been able to confirm ? to date.
I will report back.

My car (October 21 delivery) does this, as well as the bolsters on the 18 way seats moving a little too.

My 2021 model does the seatbelt tightening after you start your drive. I do have ACC, fwiw.

My car's seatbelts do the pre-tension on driving off. MY23 CT4S with ACC.
