My 4CT is now a year old with 8000 miles on it. For the last 6 months, I have heard a 'dull clunk' sound when coming off the brake pedal. This only happens during mechanical braking - ie when the car is cold and before regen kicks in. Once regen starts after about 5-10 brake presses, the noise goes away and all is fine and quiet. It is annoying at worst. The dealer has not been able to diagnose. They have changed the brake servo which is just behind the bulkhead but this has made no difference. Its not the pedal assembly and its physical as only happens when mechanical brakes and cold. I know there have been other similar posts - has anyone got to the bottom of this?

I am experiencing the same and would be interested to see if anyone got to the bottom of this. I have a Turbo with 7,000 miles. I have not paid attention when this happens specifically (cold brakes), but this sounds consistent with my experience as I typically notice it on the morning drive, when I release the brake pedal quickly after a brief press and then I hear the clunk sound. This is in the annoyance category for me.

Is there any way to tell when you are braking hard when the car transitions from Regen braking only to also using the brake pads?
