Spotify seems to have disappeared from my PCM last night. I can still use it via Apple CarPlay, but Spotify is no longer in the list of audio sources. Is Porsche giving up on Spotify - unable to get it to work reliably, so getting rid of it? Or are the screwing with their already working cloud code, like the app based remote preheat which was unavailable for many of us for few weeks until recently?

Anyone else experiencing this?

This was a bug way back in the day.
Found this: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/t...music-apple-podcasts-and-spotify-icons.18191/ but this is not the thread i was looking for.

I seem to remember reading that the call needed a full PCM re-install / reset to fix this, by Porsche. Related to some failed update. Will edit if i do find it.

My car still has spotify and working just fine.

This seems to happen from time to time. The only solution is to wait and it comes back.

For those who pay, any time a Connect service disappears, they should be receiving pro-rated credit, no? Maybe having lots of users demand refunds would make them add better testing so they don't screw up what already works when deploying new code.

when deploying new code.
bold of you to assume they do that

Especially when porsche support goes: "ooops, the database for auth was offline" every few months. Would be shocked if there's more than 1 person handling their servers

Yes, I called before and they pro-rated or even given me a year free before. This was not on the Taycan but they typically are pretty good about honoring outages.

They do, I always ask when there is an outage. Especially after last years outage of 3 weeks. Got nearly 50% back as refund

No, but I am not an audiophile. I use the built-in Spotify until it no longer plays (most often it just gets stuck on "Loading" screen), then I switch to Carplay, then the next time I am leaving anyone in the car while I go pick something up, I switch to built-in app again so it can continue playing for passengers while my phone goes out of range of the car. I went to do that recently, realized Spotify is no longer on the list to choose.

I only have the Bose system, but it's a car, so it will never be an idea environment for prefect audio. To be perfectly honest, I actually enjoy the relative silence of EV. When driving by myself, I drive with no music at all well over half the time.

QQ - is it still connected in the MyPorsche app? It's still an option on mine. Have you tried an engineering reboot? After the latest update, WiFi decided to disable itself (and so Carplay failed), but a reboot sorted it out
