I like the option to disable a key. They use that in the context of car washing, but surely would negate the need for a faraday pouch to protect against relay attacks etc

Didn’t know about 2 fingers volume adjustment and disabling the key. The rear trunk opening during washing is something I hated and ended up enabling/disabling that in the menus. Nice :) thanks for sharing

Hardly 'easter eggs' - everything in here are std. features as described in the GTK app and/or your manual - but still a good summary of features you may not be aware of since you did not read said manual :)!

The PCM reboot might be considered an 'easter egg' as not generally referred to in either GTK or manual (if I recall correctly).

Well I have read the manual and app, and its just pretty annoying that he doesn’t seem to know what an easter egg is, or what is optional equipment vs. standard equipment.

Waiting for the next hidden feature/easter egg video explaining how to get into a Taycan when the battery is flat.

Agreed OP, there are some freaking harsh critics here - although I don't think they are intending to be critical of you.
While the term "easter egg" might be applied liberally here, I think this is a good video overall. I've had mine for a year and learnt a few new things: sliding volume, car wash lock, wiper position, passenger mirror for reversing.

Thanks for sharing!!

neither does Porsche. What annoys me is that in this clever digital age, we are still getting manuals describing every option that we don’t have. Given that the manual is delivered to the app, it would be only a very small step for Porsche to customise the manual based on the current configurations of each car.

Also I think it is sad that people get to make videos monetising the gap left because Porsche right bad manuals. The manual is full of warnings, and it’s hard to find the content even for those us who do RTFM.

Agreed re in this day and age delivery of relevant digital copy should not be a hassle at all - of course the 'legal gibberish' tends to make the manual burdensome to say the least - for ref, my first port of call would be the GTK app (for pretty much everything in that video too) and accessing the actual manual would be a last resort - which in itself again is telling!

Sounds good; but the GTK app just sends me to the My Porsche app so I have never been able to use it.
I see in their release notes that the GTK app “will be shut down at the end of June 2023”

Hmm - thats odd! Mine works just fine - rechecked it right now and def separate to the MyPorsche app - perhaps because I downloaded so long ago it is still operable? I can certainly see the rationale to consolidate all into one app and indeed had not seen that note re their intended future plans. Thx for update!

My manual has much to be desired. The index refers to pages that are incorrect, making it very difficult to locate functions. Someone goes out of their way to make a video simplifying the learning process, should, at the least, not be criticized for it.

Definition of an Easter Egg is something not in a manual - 99% in video is in the manual.

Not criticism - you appear to be confusing feedback and personal opinion in a forum that is designed exactly for that with your definition of a criticism.

I actually stated the video was quote "a good summary of features" unquote for those unwilling to dig through a manual - if you bothered to read my addl post after this, you'd also see I'd advocate the GTK app over the manual for this purpose - I never advocated that anyone read the manual - just commented what is in it and hence again why the title re Easter Egg is inaccurate :)

Boy, lucky you, got me on a good day :)!!
