Range tests from 0-100% SOC are fine but they don't really show how far you can practically go before needing to charge when on a trip.

I had some data that when plotted out might be useful in visualizing the effective range of the Taycan and how much range is left on the table. By effective range I mean charging to 80% where the charging curve drops off and running the battery as low as 5-15%. With some planning the driver has some control over how low to run the battery down.

Is this test with Range, Normal or Sport mode? I assume it’s not sport.

reply i live in south florida and my 4S at temps generally over 80 degrees F almost never makes it over 200 miles with a full charge.i drive the car pretty much in city traffic with air on on.On the road the range is a bit better but never more than 250 miles

This is excellent work and I appreciate the effort put into this.

I can confirm (from driving in Michigan winter weather) that the effective range does indeed drop by 20% when the temperature drops below freezing. That is consistent with the difference between 70 and 30 on this chart (in degrees F).
