My 2021 Taycan Turbo S heating has stopped working today.
I contacted my dealer Dick Lovetts, who know me well, they said “oh no not yours too” they told me they have had 20 or so with the same fault since December 2022. They advised me to call Porsche Assistance as the whole recovery and courtesy car program then kicks in.
When I then contacted Porsche Assistance, they informed me this was an and I quote “A pandemic issue currently with Taycans and Car’s were failing on mass acrosss the UK” So much so they advised they are not able to recover the car back to any dealership to be looked at for over 2 weeks as the dealerships can no longer store them whilst awaiting parts.
I was advised that I can not / should not drive the car as not only is it flipping cold in January but importantly the windows will fog up making it unsafe to drive.
My car is currently on my drive in the que awaiting collection as they stack up cars with this fault …
Luckily Porsche Assistance have given me via Enterprise Rent a Car a lovely petrol base model BMW 320 3 series as a replacement for what I understand will be potentially the next 8 weeks (that is providing the rush does not cause a parts back order from the factory) for my £163,000 EV #unimpressed
