you need to set a maximum charge value in addition to a timer
The profile isn't the maximum charge, it is the minimum immediate charge, hence no bar. If you want what is effectively a maximum charge while you learn about timers:
In your active profile, choose optimized charging, set minimum charge to your max number, disable all timers. Make sure "direct charging is disabled." On AC the car will immediately charge to the minimum charge and stop because there are no further instructions. On DC there is no means to limit charge other than manually stopping it.

I am not sure if it is different in your country, but I setup a charging profile for home. I put the bar at 85%. I believe in the car I had to unselected an option and these are unselected on my app, but I know I had the times set at one point. I just know with these selected I was blasting the battery to 100% every time by mistake. Hopefully, this works for you.

Hello everyone, let me introduce myself.
My name is Adriano, and I’m from Italy.

I own a Taycan Sport Turismo Model Year 2023, and I’m very satisfied with it.
However, one of the hardest things to accept—coming from two previous Tesla vehicles (Model 3 Performance and Model Y Long Range)—is the charging limit management system. Not being able to set the limit simply using a slider, like in the new J1.2 model, is quite inconvenient.

While watching some videos on YouTube, I came across a Swiss user with a Taycan J1.1. At one point, while sitting in the car and talking about its features, the battery screen appeared, showing the option to adjust the charging limit using a slider, just like in the new model.

Did I see it wrong? Does this function actually exist? Is it part of a software update?

Today, at the service center—where I went for the well-known battery recall campaigns (fortunately, my car was fine)—they had no knowledge of it.

Thanks to anyone who can provid

The entire charge scheduling is a total mess. You'll get used to it.

Adjustable limit is not so useful considering that when you plug the car you’re already outside! Theoretically you should park, click on battery and adjust limit then exit the car..not considering you don’t change the limit every day..! There is more sense in giving the app the possibility to quickly do that instead of going into the charger menu everytime!
I understand.

But of course, this feature — the slider to quickly set the maximum charge percentage — is also available in the app. Coming from two previous Teslas, it’s something very, very intuitive. It’s even present in our other car from the group, an ID.3.

You eventually get used to the profile system, but trust me, there are many people who don’t even know what it is and always charge to 100%.
“I don’t think it’s a technical limitation, but a deliberate choice.”

yeah good luck with the slider in the app...open the app, loading, home charger icon, loading, equipment settings, confirm, insert password, navigate between menu etc... basically the car is already charged!! oh, I forgot, you also need to do everything on the same wifi so if you want to start/stop charging or adjust it you have to play with profiles timers etc... under certain aspects, Tesla forever!
No, the slider are directly connected with PCM of the car , no to the charger equipment.

we don't have that screen on iPhone...
Sure, not at the moment, of course, but if the feature does become available, this is how it should work — even on the app.
Let’s hope it comes soon.

It's also a feature of the Macan EV.
