wow, seriously ? because of the few coloured icons on the left of the screen, right? You have the update![]()
Great, as long as it's fixable then I'm optimistic, they're working on it already hopefully !That is a question for the dealer, def. fixable. Part of the CPO warranty I guess
I heard free beer. So mine is charging as we speak. See you tomorrowGreat, as long as it's fixable then I'm optimistic, they're working on it already hopefully !
They're giving me 3Y PA warranty so your input is really giving me the best hopes héhé
Thanks a lot Jasper.
Driving to Paris anytime soon ?![]()
lol, absolutely I'm maintaining that proposal, maybe even free lunch now that you got my hopes quite high !I heard free beer. So mine is charging as we speak. See you tomorrow![]()
I would be very surprised if a Porsche dealer would sell you a CPO car, give 3 years warranty, and not have done and implemented all updates/recalls etc. That would not be the way I have experienced Porsche earlier. All updates and latest available SW for the model had been checked and updated.Great, as long as it's fixable then I'm optimistic, they're working on it already hopefully !

thanks for this input Peter, I'm new to the Porsche family and the "image" I had was exactly what you say. We seem to have established with Jasper that "my" car having a few coloured icons on the left of the screen means that it did get the "major" update Porsche was describing here, ie the extended ~10% range when you drive in "normal" or "range", by disengaging the 4-wheel drive & re-engaging it when you brake (if I understood correctly).I would be very surprised if a Porsche dealer would sell you a CPO car, give 3 years warranty, and not have done and implemented all updates/recalls etc. That would not be the way I have experienced Porsche earlier. Great to hear that Porsche is giving you a 3 year warranty on a 2020 model, when they only provide a 2 year warranty on a brand new 2026 (and the 2020 only had 2 year warranty as well). It is a great car when it works, but be prepared for frequent niggles and visits to the dealer for updates etc.
Now you have all the information from this forum why don't you ask the dealer if you can sit in the car and figure out what's what? - PCM version, updates, Android Auto &/or CarPlay, ... I'd also recommend you take a USB cable to try Android Auto that way in case wireless still doesn't work....
So there must be something wrong.
I insisted that my Porsche center studies all the material I gathered (thanks to this forum mainly), does a real assessment and fixes it : I don't want to pay until they fix it.
yep, that's my next step (they have the cards in hand) : waiting at least one written reply from the sales guy, since I signed the purchase order, I want to avoid the "worst case", ie them "forcing" me to take the car as is without doing anything further. Now you have all the information from this forum why don't you ask the dealer if you can sit in the car and figure out what's what? - PCM version, updates, Android Auto &/or CarPlay, ... CT14 has tried: it's possible but very risky. See these 3 posts (sum up wording in the link text is mine) :Has anyone with a Gen1 tried to update PCM to the latest Gen2 version?
Going to guess that there are some folks out of warranty.
