This is why I like this forum - input from all parts of the world. We have comments on masculinity and "road size," comments on Tesla, comments on big truck hatred, comments on Porsche values. I think we have touched on it all.
For the record, I live out in the western US and have access to plenty of wide open spaces to drive that dump truck sized vehicle. I am not too concerned with narrow roads in Denmark, or Belgium. I have an e-bike for that! What is appealing about the Hummer EV is driving that beast with the top off in a beautiful and remote part of the western US and not having to worry about charging for 300 miles.
I have lived in 6 different countries, been to 46 countries on 5 continents, and have seen amazing things and met some amazing people. I appreciate all of what I have experienced, but to me, there is nothing like driving out in a place where few people have seen and soaking up the remoteness and enormity of it all. The American west provides that for me.
I am not sure what I am going to do in regards to trading in my Rivian and buying a Hummer EV. I am certainly intrigued, but also unsure due to the sheer enormity of the thing.
