There’s a thread about aftermarket 19” mission E wheels I believe started last year. May or may not be the same manufacturer. The look stirred up some strongly opposed opinions among forum members. There are benefits of course to having 19” wheels with larger tire sidewalls, including less likelihood of damaging the wheel from road hazards, but the mission E look is strongly associated with low profile tires.

The problem is that this is like buying a fake watch. The design is Porsches which means that it’s illegal to copy them exactly and so the wheels are made by no-name manufacturers in China, which means little incentive to adhere to quality standards and anything else.

It also means that wheels will be cast rather than forged, which means they’re not very strong and being fitted to a heavy car.

Purchasing a set of these will be a total lottery.

The description says FORGED T6061-T6 Aluminum though.
But I would never buy fake wheels from an unknow and unproven source.

I think "theoretically" the 20 inch would be the best compromise between looks and practicality.

Problem is that I didn't manage to find any 3rd party wheels with the exact same spec as the oem so had to go 21 which has much more options.

You do want certified wheels (700kg load or better too) and the ET should be as close to oem as possible.

In the end, you won't be saving any money (because good wheels cost $$$) so you should only go aftermarket for a) a more exclusive look or b) not being able to get the wheels in the size you want.

Safety always first.

Your second sentence demonstrates the veracity of the first!

You said casted, these are forged.
By fake I mean not-mission E.
I don't see a veracity anywhere, what do you mean?
I think he suggested you wouldn't buy them because seller could be untrusted hence he also could be lying regarding the manufacturing process

It means that just because a no-name alloy wheel manufacturer in China (who illegally copies Porsches designs), says that they’re forged, doesn’t mean that they actually are, and the fact that you yourself wouldn’t purchase said items, demonstrates how much trust you, yourself put in the quality of their product.

I have been looking for.....or is it too good to be true

19 inch Mission E style wheels on Ebay

anyone have experience with this store? I dont want a rim that is gonna break into a thousand pieces after i hit a speed bump
Funny that the seller does not show a picture of the wheels with tires AND on a Taycan. Plenty of pictures of the wheel............................

Chinese garbage. Someone was selling a set on here a while back. They look awful. Lip angle is wrong. And they’re flow forged, if that.
