I decided to wait until the spring to buy some roof bars for the CT. Six months ago Thule specced the Wingbar Edge 9585B on their website for the black rails. Looks like these are discontinued but there's still stock in some retailers.

The Thule site now specs the follow for the CT :

Thule WingBar Edge system for your car:
Thule WingBar Edge | 721320
Thule WingBar Edge | 721220
Thule Raised Rail Edge | 720400

This looks like it mounts a bit higher than the older model.

Has anyone tried the new system on the CT and got any feedback on it ?

I have the 9585B unopened in my garage. I will check it later.

when looking at the numbers you posted it seems like those are the numbers of the different parts in the 9585 set.

front and rear bars have a different size (721320 and 721220). 720400 are the mounting pieces on to the raised roof bars.

Looks like 9585 is still sold on the website but not as an option for the Taycan. Interesting

edit: when comparing both it looks like they made a new mounting piece 720400 looks different than the one with 9585.

Yes, the mounting looks different and also a bit higher than the 9585.

Does that not make it more like the OEM version made by Thule for Porsche which is higher?

They are still fairly low profile compared to the t-equipment porsche bars.

Based on various pictures in threads and the Thule site here's what they look like.

I think I prefer the older thule bars.

The top of the wingbar is +/- 5 cm higher than the roof rails. I put them on the loaner Toyota Corolla. I think they will set higher on the Taycan because the Corolla has a solid rails and the Taycan a raised one.

I have to try but I hope they won’t be to low to put on my Thule Vector M roofbox and it won’t have a conflict with the roof. The box comes lower than the bars in the middle and the box curves at the tip to follow the roof. Will try once I have it.

On the .co.uk site it is not available anymore but on the .be it is. Don’t know if you can order it there or with a local dealer in the uk? Mine even gave me a much better deal on the bars and roofbox than what I found online.

Is there an advantage to the after-market Thule bars v the tequipment bars from Porsche? The latter are quite a bit less expensive.

See this thread. Advantage of the Thule bars over the Tequipment bars:

1) Avoid risk of marring the roof rails. The Tequipment bars mount metal-to-metal onto the roof rails. Whether design flaw, manufacturing defects or installation error, they seemed to be damage prone. In contrast, the Thules are rubber padded at all points of contact.

2) Aerodynamics. The Tequipment bars sit high and are quite chunky compared to the (previous generation?) Thules which are strikingly low profile and aerodynamic.

I put my wing bars on today and because of the sloping of the roof rails they are not leveled. The rear one is 1-2 cm lower than the front one. Did you have any issues with the roof box not being leveled and sloping down a bit. Judging the design of the Porsche roof box this might even give better aerodynamics? Maybe it is also better for aerodynamics that the box follows the roof line.
