Hello,

The in-app trip planner stopped working for my Porsche and throws the attached error message.

I saw on Reddit a few folks who have had the same issue but wondering how widespread it is and if it only affects folks in the US or also in Europe (I’m in the US). I also have a 2nd gen Taycan…

If it’s widespread would be great to create a bit of noise so Porsche can notice and fix it..,

My 2023 4S Connect service has stopped working, I am confident it is a car issue because the “in car” live traffic info has also stopped working. It seems like a SIM card issue, I have contacted Porsche Uk and booked an appointment..

I noticed and experienced this issue yesterday and presently. This appears to affect not just Taycans, but ALL Porsche vehicles. I also tested this on a 2008 911 (obviously with no connected features) as a standard trip planner and it has an error "route could not be calculated".


Timing is terrible bc I'm leaving on a road trip in 3 hrs.... In car trip planning is still working, but the app had preferred and excluded charging providers which was useful.

I got exactly this (your) screen when trying to navigate to a place I've been to multiple times so I know it's possible. It's a Porsche problem and will probably be quietly fixed eventually.

Great. You’d think this is a critical part of their app (especially for EVs) and there would be more urgency on Porsche’s end to fix it. It has been now 3 days. No wonder they need help from Rivian to build an agile SW dev culture lol

Same problem here. I noticed my LTE has two lines through it and my Porsche connect is not communicating with my car.

I also experienced the identical problem on my 23 4S. These issues occurred when I purchased and connected ABRP to my car and established a data connection via Enode as a part of the premium package. The issue continued after I unlinked the app. I don’t know if this triggered the problem or if it was pure coincidence. I can use the trip planner directly on PCM.

I am curious if others on this forum would test if their trip planner on Porsche App is working and would post the result on this thread. I reported the issue to Porsche US on Friday but received no response.

My 25 4s has been in this state for a little over a week. The app is unable to fetch the car's current SoC, plan routes, or perform any other remote functions because the car isn't able to report anything to Porsche's servers. Today, the red light next to the SOS button on the headliner came on, though it went green again later in the day.

I don't know yet if the problem is with the car or Porsche's servers. I did report this to Porsche's customer support last Wednesday, and spoke to a very polite representative, but I haven't heard back yet about what they plan to do about this.

If you think you're having the same problems, you can see the state of the various services in the PCM (my car is a J1.2, but hopefully the 1.1 has this info too).. Go to home/settings/privacy and Porsche connect, and then scroll down to "Overview of all Porsche Connect Services". Mine looks like this:

My app did fail to communicate with the car to update SoC for about a week last week, but spontaneously resolved now

I have the same issue currently with the app route planner. Route planning in PCM works fine.

I reported the problem to PA on Friday. The rep wrote to me on Monday that he elevated the issue and sent a message to Porsche Germany. The following day, Tuesday, I received a call from PA rep who told me that Porsche Germany made minor adjustments and resolved the issue. The issue was resolved in three business days. Excellent customer service by Porsche!
