Trunk / Tail Lights (mis) alignment - how to adjust

I picked up a low mileage '24 Turbo S a few weeks ago. Per the Carfax report, it had minor repair work done to the left rear quarter. It looks good overall, but the trunk / taillights don't quite line up.

Here's the right side which looks good:

The trunk has a single center motorized pull down to close, so I don't think there's anything to be done there. I guess the left trunk hinge is what needs to be adjusted? Anyone done something like that?

The right side trunk is slightly high and left side is a little more off. If you post a pic of the entire trunk lid closed you'll probably see that's off too.

My Taycan is in the shop so can't test this, but there are adjusting spacers along the lid of the trunk, correct (one on the left side and one on the right)? Try spinning those.

Looks one of the 2 snap on covers is missing on the right side one. So just pop those covers, loosen the torx screws and then slide the stop up or down until I get both sides perfectly aligned, right?

The entire trunk lid is sitting high, more on the left than the right. It looks like the trunk is also pushed in a bit but it's hard to tell due to the photo and the other misalignment.

It could be that the entire back bumper was changed and it's not sitting correctly. If you look at the top of the trunk to the panel above (below the window), it looks aligned. However to the right and left of the back window it looks similarly off so probably just need trunk dropped a bit.

Never done it but I'd try the screw there until things look flush (and the latch closes correctly... not sure if the latch needs adjustment too) and check all of other gaps.

Snap covers have an issue from factory for not staying on and I replaced all of mine under warranty. Yes, it looks like that is how you adjust the trunk level as it looks high on both sides.

I adjusted both sides all the way down like this:

The passenger side was in the middle before and the driver side was all the way up.

Trunk now sits like this:

The top deck of the trunk is now flush with the rear quarters but I agree that the rear bumper is not 100% right, but at least is symmetrical now.

I wonder if you could share full sticker to see how your incredible find is equipped. I cannot see what it looks like from limited pictures but so far it appears as if it is from the original release printed cover.

I am not a fan of J1.2 even if I could afford it. J1.1 look is timeless to me so holding on to it as long as it drives.

I agree, I love the way the J1.1 looks and found this last year of the J1.1 sample within 80 miles of where I live!

Here's the sticker. It appears to have most options. I'm not familiar with the original release printed cover. Do you have link per chance?

The ONLY thing I wish was different, would be if it didn't have an all black interior. But I'll survive, lol.

Couple of pics from when I got it home:

Main visual change since above pics was swapping those front side markers with the Euro style. Also added MapEV tune and getting the Matrix LED headlights activated this week. along with the rear led strip.

Going to the detail shop next week for front end PPL and ceramic coating.

I agree, rear bumper now needs to be aligned.

It doesn't look like too bad a job. I basically just need to pull the trim from inside the trunk like I had when swapping out the factory ASG with the MapEV tuned one.

Yeah, I should have looked it over more carefully. But I was super exited and after the solo test drive (sales guy just tossed me the keys and said if you wreck it, you bought it, lol). After that exhilarating experience, I pulled out the checkbook and paid the man. Less than $100k out the door, which is amazing for a car that retailed for almost $230k just 2 years ago. Only has 16K miles on it too.

A couple of fresh pics from the garage I just took.

I'm in the process of ordering some hexagon LED lights from Hyperlite, which will make my garage soo much brighter. I currently have mostly old fluorescent lights that are about 26 years old.
