Got a quote of £825 for the first service for my RWD from Porsche Centre East London (Jardines)! Hopefully Hatfield provide a much more reasonable quote.

Colchester are Jardines too and as I recall had one of the lowest service costs. There’s probably a London loading going on.

Guildford quoted me £608. I was told all PRG centres should cost the same ?

Due my first service soon, so I phoned around.

Both Guildford and Hatfield quoted the same price - £621.46 incl VAT. Also called Audi to see if they serviced Taycans (given they share the platform with the e-Tron GT) - Audi does not allow them to work on Porsches 'as their systems are set up for Audi'.

Having been quoted £782 by Silverstone in April 2022, was expecting a shock, but they quoted £526. I expect it will be the same for all in the Sytner Group.

Other than having variable overheads, why is there still a big variation? And such a price for something (even with a brake fluid change) that takes a couple of hours?

Guess they have to protect their investments in building a huge service centre. They will not be anywhere near to get the same revenue stream as they get from their ICE customers.

My initial service quote was for considerably more money, but there was a quote printed from the official Porsche service tool. They wanted to che k the Drainage from the Sunroof. When I asked the service advisor to show me how I could open the Sun roof, the price was more than halved!

I think they were referring to the drainage channels on either side of the panoramic roof, assuming you have one. There are slots for roof rails, and they are open to the elements.

No I had that as well.

They stated openable roof in clear text (in French Toit Ouvrant)

I have just phoned round a few dealers for my RWD, as its due its 1st service.
Still large differences in prices (as well as waiting slot / all day requirements / appt availability etc).

These did vary a lot between whether full drainage checks are being done or just visually checked. I was told that some of the full drainage checks need a lot of labour and are quite technical (ie removing front wings).

Some offered waiting appts, but some would only do it as a full day.

Chester - £687 - Waiting
Wilmslow - £1069 - full day
Bolton - £625 - full day
Stockport - £918 - half day?
Leeds (Sheffield/York/Newcastle??) - £470 - Waiting (about 3.5 hrs)

Just got back from 1st service at Leeds.
08.2021 RWD / 16k miles.
£467.22 inc screen wash.
Waiting appt - took 2h 30m.
?

New rear tyres needed though.
Inner shoulders have worn.
And fronts aren't far behind.
