US approves new adaptive driving beam headlights that won’t blind oncoming drivers

Maybe we’ll get our matrix lights activated OTA? One can always hope.

I didn’t know they were not legal here. I have them on my 16’ e-class and they are amazing. One of my favorite options I’ve ever had on a vehicle.

There are other threads on this too here - had my equivalent 'coded' on on my recently sold M4 and loved them - really miss having them on the CT (really frustrating that the capability is there unused) and fingers crossed Porsche can accelerate their evaluation as to full legality/re-coding and re-instate this functionality for us (i.e. hoping they don't just do it for new cars only pt. forward!).

Isnt already paid for though with the cars that have the option? I mean it wasnt cheap...

If they can simply push an OTA update it would be a minimal to near zero Corp expense but I guess if it required that we bring our cars into a dealership to update, the added cost incurred might be an issue for them (for re-coding in prev built cars).

OTA updates has been a major fail for porsche. they have been unable to push anything more than map updates OTA. My car went in for an update and recall fixes a week ago, finally it is ready today
